Carlos Beltran gave the Mets a 9-8 triumph - their third win in four games - with a solo homer in the 16th inning on Tuesday. The contest lasted 5 hours, 22 minutes. Cliff Floyd and David Wright belted a solo shots and Jose Reyes tied the score in the eighth with a two-run blast against Philadelphia reliever Ryan Franklin in New York's fifth extra-inning game this month. Rookie Cole Hamels (0-0, 3.18 ERA) gets the call for the Phillies in his third start of the season. Blue Jeans
Shoulder injury. I really can't find anything though. I heard it from another board.
Blue Jeans
Leslie Gudel just reported that Hamels will be headed to the DL. It will be retroactive from May 19. He will scheduled to come off June 3. He will miss his next scheduled start but shouldn't miss beyond that.
Teufelhunde
He "heard a pop" while throwing around in the OF...no significant pain or tell tale signs of serious injury as of yet though. Lieber will make the start tonight.

Money
Soler did well tonight. I think Gonzalez is pitching tomorrow.
Blue Jeans
Since Gonzo didn't pitch in relief he will get the start tomorrow. This was an important won series none the less and we have to attack for the sweep now.
gateb
I mean for the Phillies, who's going? I didn't see the game but I like what I heard about Soler. Especially after that first inning. Looks like we have a legitimate 5th starter.
Blue Jeans
Brett Myers. We already had a legit 5th starter in Bannister, but no fourth... Now we have Soler, Bannister, and EL Duque... some nice depth for us.
