I would much rather see Parnell in that setup role right now, even though major league hitters may yet to adjust to him. But Parnell's stuff is too good, so I'm not sure it will happen. Putz needs to learn to throw his pitches other than his fastball for strikes. Right after I wrote this, I looked at Mets.com and saw that Parnell is now the 8th inning guy for the time being.
