Detroit busting Celtic ass was another joy of mine...and then that became a circus with the Open Ultra Queer Rodman and the closet case Isaiah Thomas started to tear that team apart. There are plenty of 38-43 year old Cowboy and Steelers fans who jumped aboard the bandwagon in or about 1977, a terrible time in Giants history. There are plenty of 32-35 year old 49ers fans who jumped on the bandwagon in or about 1981, when they won a Sb and the Giants were just starting to dig themselves out of the doldrums. Same holds true for Raiders, Vikings and Broncos fans of these age brackets. I was lucky, I liked the Giants all along and remember 1983 quite well. Do not know why I liked them I just did, probably because my first game in 1981 they won and I never wavered. Bottom line, there are a whole slew of out of town fans who probably jumped on board due to the suckiness of the hometeam at a formidible age in accordance with a championship or big win. The Ny Jets were in year 1 of the Rich Kotite era and had not yet drafted Keyshawn Johnson, they did have a promising young rookie named Wayne Chrebet though..... Dave Brown was still the starting Qb for the 5-11 Ny Giants of 1995-96... Keith Elias was a rookie RB (thats for you BB01) Wow this is sad ...... BTW you were 7 rows in front of me that day. That was a Saturday. I was 23 and drunk as a skunk with my friends. I enjoy games so much better now that I do not get ripped at them....
