Lubeck
http://scarletknights.com/football/roster/...ail.asp?ID=3944 6-4, 215 lbs, good receiver. I wouldn't mind bringing in a local guy and I think he is going to leave early for the draft. Anyone know much about the kid?
Taylorized56
I don't follow college ball nearly as much as I used to but according to this site we've been to Rutgers games multiple times scouting him. http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dspro...0&genpos=WR some vids http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ea9zzdYnA1M http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QcW6fhzZGc according to the description they put him in at FS right before halftime, nice hit! I honestly think Hixon is going to take over our #1, and we won't draft a WR high. Or bring in anyone that is a big name. Hixon did a great job vs. Skins, lets see how he handles the Eagles. Toomer / Hixon / Boss / Smith is a good combination. Put in Moss / Manningham ham in slot positions and we have a good bunch.
Lubeck
My problem with Hixon is his build. 185 pounds or so is not a sustainable weight for a starting WR. He is going to get banged up a lot. I'd rather keep him as a #2/3 splitting time with Smith (this is assuming Toomer retires 2 years from now) and drafting a receiver with the body build like Britt who statistically should be able to handle a #1 spot full time. It wouldn't take much to put 15 pounds on Hixon. That would put him about the same size as Jerry Rice who was very durable.
