jranieli
That's funny, even if the list was longer, I would only elect to keep these 5 guys. I could not come up with a list with any more. No one else who starts, no bench players, no other starters and no relief pitches. They only player maybe is Joe Smith but these guys are not at a premium. Allstarjim
Wright Reyes Church Beltran (having a down year but is still a power bat and plays the best CF in the national league) Santana Maine Schneider (great defense and handles pitchers well) Chavez (strictly as a defensive replacement/pinch runner) Pelfrey (guy is still young and I like his potential, and believe he will mature into a good pitcher) Duaner Sanchez (still think he will recapture the magic) Wagner (not many closers out there that can be had who is as good as him) Joe Smith Pedro Feliciano Fernando Tatis (as a bench player/role player) Undecided: Marlon Anderson Scott Schoenweis
Allstarjim
OK, so I guess the thread was not who I'd keep but only the 5 I'd keep, sorry. Well, mine would be the top 5 I've listed.
feefifoefum
Wright Reyes Church Beltran (having a down year but is still a power bat and plays the best CF in the national league)Santana Maine Schneider (great defense and handles pitchers well) Chavez (strictly as a defensive replacement/pinch runner) Pelfrey (guy is still young and I like his potential, and believe he will mature into a good pitcher) Duaner Sanchez (still think he will recapture the magic) Wagner (not many closers out there that can be had who is as good as him) Joe Smith Pedro Feliciano Fernando Tatis (as a bench player/role player) Undecided: Marlon Anderson Scott Schoenweis I agree that Beltran is a pretty good centerfielder, but I can't stand watching bloop singles fall in front of him and runners waltzing home from 2nd base. He plays too deep for me. I think Sanchez has lost the "magic". He just doesn't throw as hard as he did before he was out late "looking for food". My 5 untouchables are Wright (Would be having a much better season if he actually had someone hitting behind him, needs to lay off the slider down and away with 2 strikes) Reyes (Still very young) Pelfrey (I think he's turning the corner) Maine (Love his intensity. He's the one guy on this team you can't say doesn't leave it all on the field) Santana (Obviously)
