I don't think they have a clue, it's just that nobody wants to be the guy that says they will go unbeaten. It's a much safer prediction, because then IF they do lose you can say, "See, I told you they wouldn't go unbeaten."

You're right. I had a guy bet me $20 the Steelers would go unbeaten a few years back, around week 9 of the season. It was a sucker's bet because he had to be right 7 times in a row. I only had to be right once.
