mickeef2
...it's time to get on with the business of crowning an AL champion. It's not gonna be easy. While I really like the way we looked against the Angels, they were completely banged up. People have a tendency to only remember the last they saw of a team and with the Sox, all people remember are Manny and Papi going deep and a big inning that put the Angels away. There's no guarantee, though, that they'll continue to play that way in the next series. Cleveland is on a roll and destiny seems to be on their side, which really scares me. They'll also get at least four games from Sabathia and Carmona. Hopefully Beckett and Schill will be up to the challenge.
Herc
if beckett keeps pitching this way i dont see how cleveland beats you. you are stronger than them across the board despite their diesel lineup. i think the sox will get to borowski at least once in this series. just please please please beat the rockies if you play them in the world series. Not to look ahead, but the Rockies terrify me. They are the proverbial freight train. As for Beckett, what you say is true, yet all it takes is them beating him tonight to give them a major advantage in the series.
Herc
oh yeah definitely, though it's tough to make carmona a given in game 2. beckett can probably start three times right? the rockies are ridiculous, i was really hoping arizona would stop them, but i dont really want to root for either team
so-cal dub
Unfortunetly McDouche, the best team in the Al left early again. So if your Sox take it, oh fucking well. GO ROCKIES!

Wake is scheduled for game 4. However, Francona did a very wise thing tonight by lifting Beckett after 80 pitches and trusting an 8 run lead to the pen with three innings left. I think he might've been thinking ahead about the slim possibility that he needs Beckett in game 4, or at the very least conserbving a few innings for the coming weeks. And the pen's good showing set them off on the right foot for the series.
