mickeef2
That's gotta be the loooooongest walk-off homer in post-season history.
LorfTVP
Ahh, that was absolutely necessary for Manny. I dunno, somehow I felt that the fans' patience was wearing a bit thin with him again...but then wham, bam, BOOM, walkoff. Can't beat the bash brothers. <---Ortiz Manny--->

I gotta say, I wasn't feeling real condfident with Manny in that spot with two out (though that didn't stop me from demonically chanting "Mannymannymanny..." over and over again throughout the at-bat as a good luck ritual). He has great numbers overall in the toughest games, like against the Yanks, but in those late-inning pressure spots he doesn't seem to come through as much as you'd expect. That was the most colossal homer I've ever seen when you factor in the pitcher and the situation. I doubt he's ever hit a longer homer, in batting practice or at any other time. Hopefully a sign of things yet to come this post-season from the greatest right-handed hitter in the history of the game.
feefifoefum
I don't know what was longer, the home run, or the stare. Ramirez and Ortiz look poised to smash the Red Sox to another title. I don't think anyone is beating you guys.
fringe
on a walk-off, it's one thing- but down 7-3 and about to be down 3-1 in the series, it's just dumb.

so-cal dub
Manny is the biggest piece of shit in baseball outside of Bonds. Maybe next year Barry will retire and Manny can have the throne.
RandolphScott
on a walk-off, it's one thing- but down 7-3 and about to be down 3-1 in the series, it's just dumb. He does it on every single homerun he hits.
