You can blame Heilman for giving up those walks and Pedro 2 for that one. He hit a good pitch. He shouldn't have thrown him so many breaking balls though. He was not the raw power and as good a hitter as Piazza. In 86 he only hit 255 I think, but put a "duck out there on the pond" as Hernandez says and he ALWAYS drove in the run. Think he had105 in 86 an he missed 4 weeks(see Ed Hearn who became David Cone). His catching was great, although at the end with the Mets his throwing tailed off as all catchers normally do in later year. Just a real leader and a guy you want up in a clutch situation.
