Lughead
Where did he go? March 10, 2007 Cards reach deal with cornerback Hood Darren Urban, Tribune The Cardinals agreed to terms with a third free agent Saturday, bringing in cornerback Roderick Hood on a five-year deal worth about $15 million. Hood will compete with Eric Green for a starting spot opposite Antrel Rolle. Hood played the last four seasons with the Eagles after signing with Philadelphia as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn. In 2006, Hood played in only 10 games because of injury, making five starts and recording one sack. He had a career-high three interceptions in 2005 when he started six of 16 games. The Cardinals have already signed center Al Johnson and free safety Terrence Holt to free agent deals. Vice president of football operations Rod Graves said the Cardinals will continue to "keep our eyes open for opportunities" in the free agent market. The Cardinals are still having discussions with free agent offensive lineman Mike Gandy. The team is also expected to sign one or two lower-end free agents later in the summer.
