  1. i'd like to point out that we'd be 2 picks away right now if we didnt trade up for moss.
  2. by the way still can't believe watson is still on the board, definately worth the risk.
  3. actually depending on how preseason goes, tuck could be the one with wasted talent, it sucks either way.
  4. wow i can't wait till 2007 or 2008 so kiwanuka can finally be the backup he was destined to be.
  5. I NEVER FUCKING SAY FUCK, WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT?! FUCK!!!!
  6. i wish someone would have picked him in front of us. unless of course, the 'other guys' were more defensive ends.
  7. i see where you're coming from, i really never thought of sinorce moss as the type of player that you would trade up for. had he fallen to us at 56 i think we should have given him a good look.
  8. and now, a break to footage with the same corny rock and roll music that we've had for the last 5 years playing in the background.
  9. i'm happy with moss, i would have just preferred a different combination of players, like chad jackson and 3 other picks.
  10. sorry i don't buy into the optimism bullshit, i have my own opinion and i don't believe everything that the NYG FO says.
  11. once again armstead, i'm not debating his talent, i think he has skills. i do believe that chad jackson was the better player on the board, and also in much greater need, with the need at DE being almost 0.
  12. actually d-line is the toughest transition. at best you will see a rookie like julius peppers (maybe every 15 years a guy like him comes along) and he will put up 12 sacks. AT BEST. rookie wide receivers contribute all the time like the guys i mentioned. again, i dont see why this is relevant, because i think the strategy was to take the BPA.
  13. larry fitz, michael clayton, roy williams, anquan bolden, randy moss. not that it's that important, i still believe in taking the bpa, which was chad jackson. i have a strong conviction you would agree with me had we taken him instead. it's ok to disagree with the gm, it doesnt make you any less of a fan.
  14. agreed, like you said earlier, this was why we drafted tuck last year. there can only be 2 DEs on the field at once, i think our GM failed to grasp that concept.
  15. sorry armstead, but i'm not buying the positive spin on this. i wasn't upset about the trade, i thought that when we picked there wasnt really any great value picks on the board, but when we were up to pick, chad jackson was by far the best player on the board, not to mention we don't have two pro bowlers starting at receiver. i think kiwanuka is a talented player, and i wouldnt be upset with the pick if he was the bpa but he wasnt, jackson was by a mile.
  16. i guess i don't see why we didnt just take jackson in the first if we wanted a receiver. he has better size, speed, and better production in college.
  17. downright stupid. bush is just a player you do not pass up on. not to take anything from mario williams, i think he'll be a fantastic player (he works at subway too).
  18. chad jackson would be a steal at 25, i'd be very happy with that pick. i can't see 24 teams passing up on the number one receiver in the draft though (even if this year's class isnt as good).
  19. technically mike alstott is not even a fullback. he's a terrible blocker, and when he scores it's when he lines up in a tailback position. it's a travesty he is allowed to go to the pro-bowl as a fullback. jacobs should remain the goal line back, and IMO we should also test how he does in normal every-down situations. putting him at fullback would just waste his talent.
