Giants quarterback Eli Manning is set to wed college sweetheart Abby McGrew in New York in the next few weeks, family members confirmed to The Post yesterday.

The Super Bowl XLII champion and his blond bride-to-be were spotted at the Manhattan Municipal Building apparently picking up a marriage license Tuesday.

  2. ....and then watching us go into his house and watch Eli outplay their hollywood primadonna quarterback was so gratifying. Not to mention seeing T.O reduced to a sobbing, blubbering emotional mess on national television. Seeing Eli hoist the Lombardi after years of ridicule and mocking was sweet, knowing that all the haters in the nfc east who talked shit about him were watching too made it even sweeter.

That playoff run was one of the most amazing accomplishments in the history of sports, legendary it was.

    Jealousy's a bitch.

    Rack 'em!!!!

    Post of the year!

  3. Randoff, as it turned out 9-7 would've still gotten us into the playoffs.

If not for the pats game tho, I don't think we would've gone into the playoffs with such confidence, and surely

wouldn't have made it as deep.

Understood. But making the playoffs with that win over Buffalo felt good too. And that made the NE game 'meaningless'.

For the first time in my Sports watching life have I ever witness a true 'moral victory' when the Giants lost to the Pats.

  4. Personally, I don't care about what an individual football player does with his own time and wouldn't mind a player with off field problems, as long as he's a team player and has some skill. I don't see why we tend to put football players under the microscope for years and even whole careers for character flaws they may have displayed as a younger player. People learn lessons, I guess, is how I feel. Mistakes are mistakes, you learn from them and I would hope never commit them again...and hopefully your career doesn't suffer for indiscretions. Unfortunately, that definitely isn't the case.

Because "off the field problems" lead to NFL suspensions. Would you be saying the same IF Ahmad got us a 1000 yds a year and got suspended right before the playoffs??? ....becuse he likes to go to strip clubs and fight, drive drunk and beat his girlfriend?

  5. Ochy Sinky is so fucking obsessed with winning its not even normal. The guys just wants to get the best stats and at the end of his career have a ring, he doesnt care about friends or life-long family. Whatever is "best" for him he wants to have, he's pissed off that Cinci has been abit off the last two years and wants to leave them. I mean the guy has a Pro Bowl QB throwing to him and also a Pro Bowl WR across from him meaning he's not getting double teamed 24/7. This guy doesnt realize the Bengels are a good LB core away from making a good playoff run. I hope he goes to fucking San Fran and they have a drought of QBs who dont throw a TD for 5 years so Ochy Sinky won't have any HOF stats.

Dang!!! Do you know Chad personally??? <_<:)

With all the players on that team that have been busted or served annual suspensions, why is Johnson a cancer? Sure, he's a showboater, and probably a pain in the ass in the locker room; but at least he plays, and plays well. I don't think I'd want him on the Giants, but I can understand him wanting to get off a team with as much BS going on as the Bengals have. I'd have to agree with this statement. Bengals suck!!!

...and the This guy doesnt realize the Bengels are a good LB core away from making a good playoff run. statement is WAAAAY off......the Bengals are one more felon away from being banned from the league.... :)

  6. I am telling you, its a month later and I still am on cloud nine because of this team. Tonight when I get my kid to bed what am I gonna do? Crack open an Amstel, pretend its a cold evening in January and watch the DVD AGAIN .... FOR THE 5TH TIME

A quote from Burress "we daaaaa beeeeeesssssst-t-t-t-t!"

(I so wanted to see the interview from Pam Oliver with Burress after he caught that winning td....Burress getting all emotional. It wasn't on the dVd)

  7. Away

    YES!

I plan on wearing the "Steve Smith" away jersey to this Superbowl gathering. I'm wondering IF that will change the good karma the Giants have had. I've hung the Steve Smith jersey on the back of my computer chair ever since the playoffs started and the Giants haven't lost since.... ;)

  8. Keep in mind that is not based on a scientific polling of fans but, the opinion of a Post author based on an on-line poll. But it is probably not to far off.

Dallas fans are torn -- they hate the Giants but some are more worried about the Pats reaching 5 then 6 Lombardi's before Dallas gets their 6th than they are worried about the Giants doing so. But not all of Texas is Dallas, so even if most Dallas fans are rooting NE, the other teams in Texas would off-set.

Most Charger fans are pulling for NE, even though NE knocked them out of the playoffs two years in a row because the absolutely hate Eli. Not all of California is SD. Forty-niners know we have been rooting for them to lose every single game.

And Jet fans are just pissed all around. They hate both teams.

Other than those three teams pretty much everybody is rooting for the Cinderella Eli & Co. story. Not unlike how pretty much everyone was rooting for the Pats except MO in 2001.

How DO you know all of this? Do you work for ESPN? :)

  9. Two things I've done during this Superbowl run by my Giants....ever since we made the playoffs I've draped my #12 Steve Smith jersey over my computer chair AND I've worn my NY Giants knit cap to work everday. We've won since. 8 games before the Superbowl run in 2000...I wrote on our EraseBoard at work..."Giants Baby!" I did that again (week 11) this year and BOOM! Giants are in the Bowl baby!

Cowboy fans... EAT A DICK !!!!

  10. the conspiracy lives on...the dog just wonders, where did badegg post? if he did this morning, it is not anywhere the dog has been...

perhaps you and the dog are the same poster, as you seem to show up everywhere the dog is...why is that? are you the dog?

Aha!!! You got "me"!! I am the Dawg...Top Dog that is...your alter ego. See you're EYE Tali AN and I am the Black Ninga Dog.:)

Say it with me "WassupmyNinga?" :LMAO:
