  1. And what surface is the safest? Or do they want to go just all grass? I would think grass is the least safe. Probably some form of synthetic on top of soil would be safest?

I'm not a grass expert, we should probably ask JR about it.

Not often do I find myself in disagreement with you, Seph.

I’m not saying DJ is the next Josh Allen but he sure isn’t Dave Brown either.

Remember, there are many teams in the NFL that would love to sign him.  I see a kid playing his heart out and winning us games with no WRs…

I have to disagree. Where are these NFL teams that would love to sign him? His reputation is that he has potential, can run, but has been a turnover machine until 8 games this season. True he's had shitty coaching, but there is nothing that points to anyone loving to sign him.

In actual fact, we are in a conundrum with him. This would have to turn into a McAdoo type of season for us to get a top QB in the next couple of drafts. Daboll getting us to the playoffs in year 1, and then us sucking it up so we get a shot at a top 10 QB. Or, being consistently good and trading away draft capital to get us into the top 10. Gonna be an interesting next couple of seasons. Best case is for us to franchise him and hope for the best in '23 and maybe '24.

  3. There was this show on HBO in the 90's called "The Late Shift" about the Letterman/Leno late night talk show wars. One of the best lines to come out of that show was when there was actual talk of NBC giving "The Tonight Show" to Letterman after Leno already had it. Letterman said, "I want that show" and some exec said "what show? The Johnny Carson Tonight Show? That's long gone. They're offering you the Jay Leno Tonight show. David, It's damaged goods".

    Just sayin'.

BTW, if you've got an 1 1/2 to kill, it's a great movie, and it's free.

After seeing the trades the Giants got a good deal on Toney.

Roquan Smith who is arguably the best ILB in the NFL went for a second and third.

The Vikings fleeced the Lions in the TJ Hockenson trade.

    Claypool for a second? Holy.

Anyways glad the Giants kept the draft capitol.

Not to mention not make the cap situation even worse.

The Claypool deal was a shocker until one realizes Chicago had an extra 2nd, regardless of the fact that it's their original 2nd not the one they got from Baltimore. It's either a great deal for da Bears or Pittsburgh knew something everyone else doesn't.

  5. I thought next year we were supposed have, like, a billion dollars in cap room?

Anyway, no. No trades. Sit tight and build through the draft. Obviously Daboll has a talent for milking talent. Why try and force someone with habits into our system? This is what's gone wrong for Denver. You make this massive move for Wilson, who has a certain talent, and you try to squeeze him into your system instead of adjusting your system to fit his talent. Fuck all that bullshit and just start fresh.

Greenbay is pretty bad they beat Bears, Pats and Bucs. Only lost to Vikings. But ravens was a surprised.

I do agree, give DJ two years until we can get Arch Manning.

My point was that at the time, Green Bay @ 3-1, was supposed to hand us an ass kicking of epic proportions. So yes, we beat a "real" team so far.

I think this is the way. Besides can we say we actually played a top team this year? Let’s see how Jones perform against teams like the fucking eagles, cowgirls(again) and skins.

Tag him another year and let him play us out of reach of a promising QB from the draft.

Green Bay was 3-1 before we sent them into their skid. Baltimore was 3-2 with a loss to the mighty Bills before we beat them. The Bears just decimated New England last night. Now, I'm not saying we beat Superbowl teams, but none of those games were "gimmees". If we beat Seattle and the fucking 12th man in that stadium going into the bye, I think we're definitely on the verge of seeing the playoffs this season. Nobody saw that coming or would make that prediction in the offseason. Not even the biggest of Homers.

He's been serviceable, and with a vet backup I think we somehow hold onto him until the 2025 draft, when we will make some kind of Eli type move to get Arch Manning. All Daboll has to do is keep him managing games for another 2 seasons.

Herc is the king of handsomeness on the board, but he's got one really fat typing finger.

  9. There was a lot of bitching after the 1st and 2nd pick. Plenty of complaining how nothing changed, we took players too early, how Schoen was going to be terrible. And look at us now: 5-1 and 2nd in a revitalized NFC East. Fuck they're talking about Daboll being Coach of the Year.

Yeah, we fans know so much more than the professionals. :LMAO:
