  1. thank god slig took the purity out of it and added an extra round
  2. Don't know much about NY baseball history in terms of NL ball and New Yorks affinity as an NL town? Miss the 1980s? Never heard who the first NY baseball team to draw 3 million was? Guess what it was 15 long years before the "beloved" Yankees won 114 games, outspent the competition by 90 million and all of a sudden sold out a stadium in a bad neighborhood. Now get a clue, when you make stupid statements like this, some of us will pounce on your lack of intelligence like a fly on shit. Keep it coming if you so choose, this is fun schooling you on things!
  3. You obviously have missed the point of emphasis that a team that wins is built with depth that can play. Walker has proven he can be a backup player and play ok if need be. That is the difference between teams that win and lose in the NFL.
  4. NO one likes Deloatch and I know he struggled late in the year, but I like his size and his ability to tackle. I do think he may be better suited for a S spot, but I do not know, something about him I like. Must be the undrafted FA thing, probably goes back to my affinity for Rich Suerbert as well. If I had to have Ronde, Will P, Webster and Deloatch as my 1-4 depth I would not be awfully disappointed. Only backdraw with that would be if Will P went down and deloatch went to #3(normal nickel in the slot)as he is not a good slot CB. I would tender Walker if need be. I do not think Coughlin is a big Walker fan.
  5. To take it a step further I think a healthy Morton could actually add something to the offense. Although never a great RB, he could afford Tiki some 3rd down rests on passing situations. I know Tiki is an asset as both a RB and 3rd down back, but he is getting older and getting him some needed rest at times could preserve him later on. of course this would not be every series, but the staff may be inclined at times to sit Tiki in certain situations at different points in the game. Morton is a decent 3rd down back. I like Morton too and think his PR abilities and sure handedness was the best we had since Megget(even better than Amani and Tiki when they did this as young players). I do not want Nate Clements unless I am told I can get the above mentioned 3 players back signed first. A vet 3rd Wr would not bother me either. The Giants are not a roster that needs star players to get over the top, we have them already in Strahan, OSI, Pierce, Shockey, Tiki, they are roster that needs good solid players around these guys to support their game.
  6. So under this scenario, my plan of attack would be let Allen go, sign Ronde, start Webster at #2, if Peterson is 100% Webster goes to #3 and gives 3 solid corners and draft a CB to develop to either 1 day step in e and start or take Websters #3 role. I heard John Riggins on Sirrius say he was very impressed with Webster and thinks he will be a good solid CB in the league for a long time. If Will P is 100% then maybe Will and Ronde start. Not a bad scenario. I would have to imagine NY would be Rondes first choice.
  7. I read that on BBI as well, great call no matter who made it. I think priorities should be our depth and key positions. I think Whitfield, Tyree and Morton are as important to this roster as any player there is. The continuity to the roster as those spots is paramount and IMO, thats what winning teams are about. I expect Morton to be even better next year after 1 year removed from ACL, Tyree's play speaks for itself and I for one think he deserves a shot to at least compete for the #3 or #4 WR(his salary might dictate that anywaY due to his ST prowess) and Whitfields veteran leadership and understanding of the 2 positions on each side is such an asset. Not to mention the great lockeroom influence he was. I know things like this do not tweak peoples taste for the big names, but when you have a KR/PR that can win a game, a ST gunner that just makes constant plays and a veteran T, who can come in and play well and help win a game(see Philly,KC)that sometimes is the difference between playoff teams and teams that sit home. In todays NFL you have to identify your own star players, get them signed, pray that you "identified" the right guys and fill your roster with guys that support the stars well and can be the difference in your record. Nate Clements at 35 mil and a 16 mil bonus does nothing for the overall roster of this team.
  8. Anyone think that of by some odd chance the Bucs cut Rhonde Barber that he winds up a Giant and the Giants replace Allen with Rhonde. Tiki and he spoke of that on Sirrius last week and RHonde said the Bucs have cut big name vets to get some cap relief before(Lynch, Sapp) and also said Accorsi had his chance and did not want him. Of course Tiki replied that they had a ton tied up in Sehorn, to which Rhonde laughed his ass off. I would take Rhonde, but I wonder how much the cover 2 makes him better than he actually is?
  9. I do not expect a big name, in reality we could use some veteran help at some positions and replensih through the draft. CBA situation is interesting and could greatly impact the market. I am anxious to see who is cut and think that we can find a good solid S at a cheap price in FA. I think Green and or Emmons takes a pay cut and one goes. That money along with the cap money we have will go towards a LB. I love the idea of Ben Leber and he probably will not break the bank.
  10. ELI sucks, the Giants and EA must look forward to replacing this weak armed hick. He cannot handle the pressure of NY and having to lead men. He is a little weak armed boy, who's Daddy made sure he was overhyped to make the NFL. The Giants must start to look at better options. I see them signing Todd Collins or Aaron Brooks as upgrades. The Cards today were smart and signed Warner to an extension, yet another stupid mistake by Accorsi as I believe he is an Eagle mole. There feel better everyone, just like old times back at old SW
