I was just about to post something similar to this. So Cals boy Kruk mentioned moving him to DH. All this shit is so ridiculous. The guy won an MVP last year and is playing pretty damn well this year. He's not allowed a bad game? Jeter made an error in the 8th or the 9th inning the day before and no one said anything. WTF would we ever do with Soriano or Abreu if Sheff and/or Matsui ever come back though. Id much rather have Melky playing and gaining experience over Soriano and Abreu even if they were on the roster. Not to mention I'd rather not see us trade away good prospects for guys that would play less than half a season for us. People act like our line up is so bad that we need one of them. We still have Damon, Jeter, Giambi, Rodriguez, Posada and Cano. Theres plenty of teams that would kill to have those guys in their lineup.

I got the Cano shirt. Over the years Ive had a Jeter, Soriano, Sheffield, Giambi, Arod and Johnson shirts. The numbers and names decay pretty quickly though. I used to have a Micky Mantle jersey when I was little. I think I took one of my school pictures with it on too.

Great game today. Two homeruns, two outfield assists, 8th and 9th inning drama and Mo's 400th save. Even with the diluted line up we put up 6 runs. Wright kinda-sorta got past the 5th inning. Cairo played really well on defense today too. And I still dont know how Thome beat out that double play and then got thrown out at second. Not to mention being .5 games back and sweeping the second best team. But John Kruk said were not going to make the playoffs so it must be true.
