If they can somehow manage to get into the playoffs and they're starting pitching comes together, they'll have as much a shot to make it as anyone else from the NL. The Mets are still the favorite, but they'll have to see how Pedro bounces back. The Cards aren't the Cards of the last few years. And who the hell knows what's going to happen in the NL West. Even though its a long shot, I really hope they end up playing the Yankees in the WS. I'd never live it down if they lost, since my roommate and friends at school are all big Philly fans, but I'm willing to take that chance.
Last year was their real chance though. They were 1 GB of Houston in the WC and lost every single game to them. Not to mention late in the season when they had a lead in the ninth inning with two outs and no one on. They gave up an infield single and then ended up losing. That cost them a playoff birth single handidly.
