  1. Not trying to pick your post apart, but "Goodbye Depth" suggests that there's be none remaining. Tolly was great on ST as well. I'm hoping we get a chance to pick him back up.

Yeah, youre right, it does. My bad.

You know, Kiwi bein able to play DE, helps alot. But lets hope the young guys have learned to play LB and Goff returns healthy and able.

  2. Wants to and Has to are two different things. Peyton hurts himself financially if he requires Wayne to come along. I think Manning is open to it, but I don't know that he'd make it a condition of his signing.

Yeah, I only said wants to. It wont be a condition of his signing, but he has a better chance of Reggie coming to Denver than anywhere else he's interested in.

  3. Cause 3 probowl DEs isn't depth? I like Tolly a lot too, but given Tuck, Osi, and JPP...I don't see him staying for anything more than vet minimum. If he catches on elsewhere, good for him and I wish him the best.

He spelled our guys very well and seems like a good teammate.

This where I get the depth part from. Sure, just Tolly doesnt mean were left with zero depth, but its depth regardless.

  4. At the end of the day, forgiving Smith for going after a larger contract is much easier than forgiving Tiki for being a malcontent.

I agree that Eli's attempts at leadership may have been comical, but you can't vocalize that. You fall in line behind him and support him. You don't mock him and essentially divide a locker room.

Not when you go to the friggin eagles!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P

He divided a locker room that he wasnt even in??? Howd he do that? See, Im from a different mold. If you have something to say, you say it. Especially if youre asked, just as Tiki was.

  5. Not saying it'll happen. That said, I try not to hold grudges. If he makes a humble return, especially contract-wise, than I think he's paid his dues for the mistake he made. Not to mention, if he can return to his former self, he'd be a nice 3rd WR. I remember the year he made all the 3rd down catches for 1st downs all too well.

Guys like Tiki, who burned his bridges, and even from the other shore continued to torch any relationship he had...that, I'll hold a grudge against. But if Tiki would admit to being an idiot and admit to making a poor choice by leaving when he did...than I'd be forgiving of him too. This, I don't see happening.

I dont see a whole lot of difference between Tiki and smith. Tiki just wasnt afraid to vocalize his thoughts. As much as we didnt wanna hear it, Eli WAS comical at hi attempt of leadership at 1st. Eli has since become a great leader, and Tiki has mentioned that.

  6. Yeah, the Manning/Fitz show would be fun to watch. I still think that for Arizona, Miami, or SF....that bringing in Manning/Wayne/Mike Wallace...would make any of those 3 clear favorites to run deep in the playoffs. A team like Miami or Arizona could leave Wayne off that list given Marshall and Fitz.

Exactly. Which is what makes Denver the favorite. He wants to bring Reggie with him.

  7. The only Team I see for Peyton that would be a perfect fit and also be an easy transition for him is miami.

They got the best LT in the game

A really versatile RB in reggie bush

    A top WR in Marshall.

A legit slot guy in Devone Bess

And they would likely sign Reggie Wayne to join Peyton. Great fit for Wayne as well to be the #2 guy. And he's from "The U".

They need a TE, and another pass rusher and they can be dangerous with Manning.

LOL.......you just stated that there are four other teams that he would be a fit for....lol

Its Denver or AZ guys. PERIOD. My bet would go on Denver. A real good defense, and even better Oline. The chance to work with Elway and the reigns to the team. Also, he would get to stay in the AFC, which is what he wants. The only downside to Denver is no dome. Hes goin to Denver IMO.

I actually think he has Miami higher on his radar than AZ. They also have a real good dominant WR, and they have a better run game than AZ. The main thing that hurts AZ is their shotty Oline.

    DEN

    MIA

    AZ

I think thats the order he has them ranked.

  8.

Steve Smith seems to be the one that I'd be most interested in as a Giants fan. He'd clearly need to accept that he'd be fighting for the the 3rd WR role with Barden, Hixon, and Jernigan. He'd also need to accept to be paid as such. I actually feel bad for the guy. He made some poor decisions coming back from injury far too quickly and leaving what was a good situation with the Giants. I think that he's paid for those poor decisions by not having the 2nd SB ring he could have had. Might be reason enough for him to return. Then again, humility doesn't run all that rampant in the NFL and he may find an opportunity elsewhere.

With all that said.....................HAHAHAHAHA!!! You dumbass Smith, how does it feel to not have that 2nd SB ring??

Im sorry, I feel nothing for this idiot. He knew what he was doing, and he thought he was a smart guy. Screw you Smith, this is one guy I hope we do NOT get back.

  9. Personaly ( and it doesnt matter what I think but) I would draft Fleener or Allen

Clark will be 33 and stats are falling off granted 1 year wihout Peyton( only played 11 games) and the year before he must of got injured(only played 6 games)

Oh damn....33? Yeah, Ill take a pass.

I read this morning the Giants are looking hard at TE John Carlson.

As for RB, I think we have a diamond in the rough with Scott, altough I still think we should draft RB in one of the later rounds.

  10. I wonder how much Clark has left in the tank?

I was thinkin of starting a thread on this. I saw that and wondered the same thing. Hes not that old, is he?

I would love to have a TE like Clark thru FA, then go OL/BPA in the draft.

  11. I was in a sports store in Sarasota recently and my wife and I bought this cool framed piece I will have to show you guys. It has Eli, the Manningham catch, a pic of the parade, and a team picture, all separate pics in one frame, with some engraving. Anyways, when we were looking at the store's stuff, the store owner was talking to us about the Giants, I think he was a Giant fan as well, he talked like he was but he didn't come out and say it. Anyways, there were two other middle-aged guys in there, and they heard us talking about the Super Bowl, what a fun time we had watching it, etc. And the one guy says to the other, "just because they won they think they run everything." To which I replied (even though they weren't talking to me), "AND THEY ARE RIGHT!" In a very enthusiastic tone, of course. Guy gets a sour puss face on and says in a disgusted fashion, "For now."

I just smiled real big as they walked out of the store. Wish I knew what team he roots for, but judging by his reaction, it has to be Brokebacks or Shegirls. :)

That stuff happens almost daily here in AZ. Except they are usually brokeback fans, or sudden cardinal fans. Its always good to put them in their place. :)

  12. Thomas over Jernigan no questions about it. but again lets see what FA brings.

You beat me to it. I would not feel comfortable having Jernigan as our 3rd WR. But I would feel a lil better starting either Thomas, or Hixon there, considering Hixons ACL tears dont hamper him.

  13. I dont know, Id say give Cooley a chance. Like VG said, we dont know if Davis was getting more playing time due to Chris' poor performance, or if its some other reason. I always remember Colley being a good blocker with good hands.

  14. I hate to brag, but I was extremely positive during the playoff run. My negate moments were at Dallas, after NO, and the referees during The packer playoff game.

    We won that game???

For me, after N.O. I was just tired of losing, and that performance was pathetic. It was the 2nd Philly game where I was HEATED....FUMING. Not only should we have won, but losing to philly pisses me of. :furious:

  15. And bb01 I was just going by what I was seeing and reading. If you watched games and say he has good instincts then fine, fair enough I'll take your word for it. But i still wouldn't want this guy at all with all these red flags. Unless Reese thinks so, then I'll trust it,

Ahhh, got ya. Yeah, I personally think he would be a great addition in the later rds, but like we always say....:IN REESE WE TRUST"......

  16. He has great instincts, he just likes to freelance. I don't want him, because he is not a fit in our system. The character stuff is overblown, like Nas and I said in a different thread, he just gets over agressive at times. If Baltimore thinks Ray can get a hold of him and have him take out that anger in a positive way, it would be a good fit there, also TSizzle knows him, from going to ASU.

Dont get me wrong, I dont think we necessarlily need him, Im actually comfortable with who we have know, especially since J Williams came along nicely and Jones has a yr under his belt. I just wouldnt be mad if we got him late. You got it right though, over agressiveness is his fault.

  17. If it was one or two sources that were saying it, I might give him a pass. If there were some disagreement coming from somewhere or if there was anything being said from anywhere that was in opposition to what's been stated about him so far...then he might get a pass. But all in all, there are multiple sources claiming that he's a bit of a reckless idiot.

Yes, Ive seen that as well, pretty surprising to me. Unless hes just getting worse recently. It wasnt nearly that bad at ASU. His problem was more like getting stupid penalties during games. I never heard about an off field incident of any magnitude.
