  1. Yea same, I think coach Pope can get that potential out of him though.

He had a talk on the field with Bennet after the two games against Dallas this year. So they already have some sort of an established relationship.

LOL...I wouldnt call that an established relationship. But you are right about Pope being a good coach who can get more out of him than dallas did.

PDub, I agree at this point its more potential than anything. But since we rely on our WRs more than TE's like dallas does, its almost a given that a physical speciman like Bennett would fit into our system.

  2. Don't think Mario Williams going to the bears. It'll be 30millions on two DE. That's just way way too much. They still need to get Forte back.

Cutlet and Marshall. Damn can't wait for fantasy football!!!!!

Oh damn, I thought they resigned Forte already? If not your right. too much money on a pair of DEs.

  3. I just read that he's close to signing for 4 years and $19 million with $7 mill guaranteed.

If true that's a good deal for both sides.

I think coach pope gets all the talent out of him.

Dude, if we get Bennet as our starter, and then Ballard comes back, we'll have a nice little TE tandem with Pascoe as the the 3rd.

  4. So by this logic Eli Manning to you looked like Ryan Leaf coming out of college.

    Good to know.

LOL...no. How did you get that from my reply?

I meant, just because someone did well in college, or has all the tools to succeed in the pros, doesnt mean they will do well in the pros. He looks like a keeper, RGIII, something tells me he's not.

  5. Hearing it's basically a 1 year 2mil contract with the option to keep him after for the rest of the loot.

The breakdown of Thomas' deal per rumblings was: $1m SB, $1m base salary and $2.75m on 70-pct playtime this season. Waiting on confirm. #nyg

Ill take that. Good job Reese.

  6. How so?

Second best QB in the draft behind Luck.

Sounds like a kid with his head on straight, son of two military parents.

The 'Skins are getting a franchise QB by all accounts.

The one thing I find scary about him is watching him throw he at least looks to be pretty accurate and likes to pass first but he has the legs of Vick.

After Ryan Leaf, I stopped judging QBs by their college performance. This guy has all the tools and looks to be great.....JUST like Leaf.

I dont really have alot of reasons why, it seems like he should be good. But my gut tells me hes a bust. You say he throws 1st, to me, he clearly runs first. He looks fragile too. Doesnt look like he can take a hit. The thing we dont know, is does he have the mental capability to run a screwed up franchise with no real RB? Military parents? Big deal. I know a lot of kids I grew up with who had military parents who are currently on crack.

  7. You need only remember that for cap purposes, salary hits in the year it's for and bonus is divided out evenly over the remaining years of the contract. From there, it's only addition/subtraction to compare what the player is at now vs. what they'd be at given a proposed change to their contract.

If you put it on paper in numerical form, it's much, much easier to understand than trying to read through someone's post.

OK, this made more sense to me. Thanks roc.

  8. Like Eli, that's not a salary cut, he just gets the money up front so it can be spread out on the cap on the remaining years of his deal.

Ahhhh, OK. All the money stuff is so confusing to me. Thanks Jim.

  9. That's comforting, reassuring, and a fantastic signing. Webster-Thomas-Amukamara is just fine by me. We'll see what happens with Ross now in FA.

Was just gonna say this. I dont like the the 2 tears of his ACL, but if he works hard enough to come back full strength, hes a very talented player. I too am comfy with that tandem.

Now, as already stated, get Rolle to restructure. :TU:

  10. Ehhh to many concussions.

    Best of

    Luck to him though.

    I wouldn't rule it out 100% though

Yeah, he has had his share of concussions it seems. But he is still fairly young and knows our system and Eli. At a good price Id rather have him back the draft a rook.
