I think the only real threat is philly. I never believed the hype about toni homo, and they have almost as many question marks as washington. They have a real good LB, and a pretty good RB.....thats about it. Bryant and Austin have got to be the most overrated WRs in history.

The article says giants got him in the 7th round, the jets actually drafted him and giants grabbed him off their practice squad.

I dont think Aaron Ross sucked. I fully believe Prince will out do him, but was was solid, and not too bad on returns.

The problem with ross was inconsistency. He would play lights out for a couple games, then get head scratchingly burned on others.

I love JPP. He is such a character. I am going to have to get his jersey this season.

1. I think you'd have to pick Amukamara on this one. I won't say he'll be the best defensive back on the team though. He's got all the tools to be a shutdown corner, which by the way...Corey Webster is ONE..except that he doesn't have a huge ego and a so called "island". Man, it would be awesome if the Prince turned out as good as Webster. That's one hell of a cornerback tandem.

 

2. Linval Joseph. Wouldn't be surprised to see him supplant Chris Canty as the number 1 defensive tackle on the team.

 

3. Mark Herzlich. I hope he wins the starting MLB job. He did very well in run support, bad in pass coverage. Mike Garafalo thinks he's going to be better in that respect. So do I.

 

I listed 3 cuz I play by my own rules.

How bout # 4 and 5?

I've said, probably enough times where it's getting annoying but whateva, that I think by the end of the season it will be arguable that Amukamara is the best db on the team.

I just saw the list, and have no idea where their reasoning comes from. The list is absurd.

I think Jernigan is and will be a bust. My top 5 breakout players:

1. Amukamara (I know this guy personally, he went to HS with my nephew. Hes a beast and is working hard to be a stud)

2. J Williams (Continuing where he left off last yr.)

3. Darel Scott

4. Linval Joseph

5. Martellus Bennett (This guy just needed to be in a system that doesnt have Jason Witten or a choke artist who favors Witten as a QB)

I say it'll be Denver or Baltimore. Slight chance it could be Houston or Pittsburgh. If I had a dark horse, Id go with Cincy or Miami.

I remember a time when Derrick Jeter came to bat in Boston. The crowd booed, started chanting, "Jeter Sucks, Jeter Sucks", which turned to a stadium wide chant of "Jeter Swallows, Jeter Swallows", etc. (Classy folks up there in Boston, but....).

 

So anyway....Jeter rips a single to the opposite field. As he's standing on first base, some mouthy fan screamed, "you fuckin suck Jeter". Jeter looked at the guy and smiled, then casually picked one finger up at a time until he had four fingers up and showed them to the fan indicating the 4 World Series rings he had at the time. The guy shut up and Jeter stole second base. This was back in the day when the Red Sox hadn't won a World Series since the 1700's or something like that so it was like pouring salt in an open wound.

 

Regardless....all Osi really has to do is show McCoy his two Super Bowl rings and he automatcally wins the feud hands down. But I agree with the article....I think Osi enjoys the feud and it wouldn't surprise me if the two guys are actually pals.
