  1. haha i'll have to call bs. sorry
  2. I've already called it miraculous in this very thread have i not? to me that's even more negative. you needed a little luck vs you needed god to intervene.
  3. so is it fair to say you had the EXACT same reaction when steve smith converted his 3rd down you mentioned?
  4. I explained that. I called the superbowl a fluke, BECAUSE OF, that one play. you're wrong about treehugger. that wasn't an issue with semantics. read it again if u must. yes, it means that PLAY occurred solely by luck and chance. And no it wouldn't have happened otherwise. the gints could replay that same play a million times and never get that result again. never. and you don't think luck has a play in that? I'm sure tom would call it a fluke, but no. It wasn't the first time tom brady couldn't score, wasn't the last time. How many times has sheli done that before or since? what about mr scrub? it is the right word. like it or not. i doubt the play was designed to let 3 or 4 pats into the backfield at the snap, and i doubt very much that mr scrub worked out the whole 'catch it with your head' move before the game.
  5. just for giggles why not describe exactly how you reacted as that play unfolded anyone
  6. again the sensitivity here is incredible. I've already given you props for the stout def, and everyone knows about the 07 patriots. No one ever said you wouldn't have been in the game except for the fluke. hell the game was almost over when it happened. i'm calling that one play a fluke and for obvious reasons. did steve smith catch the 3rd down pass on his helmet? Did Boss break 3 or 4 tackles in the backfield? Did Burress catch his touchdown while being mauled on the way to the ground? don't be flip fluke is an accidental stroke of good luck, only negative if you feel like you didn't deserve it.
  7. I did call the game a fluke, but i thought it was obvious why. that one play i agree you play as well as if not better than the pats. despite that fact. your victory hinged on a fluke play.
  8. i don't understand? they're both fluke plays. thats why they have cute nicknames. however, i don't see how a tip drill was more miraculous than the double miracle. how is me calling it a fluke diminish your championship? I can't take it away from you. do you guys not know what a fluke is? how can anyone, even a gints fan, look at that play and not call it lucky. i bet your asses were feeling damn lucky when you were watching it live no?
  9. No because elisha never escapes the clutches of rushing lineman, much less 3 or 4 of them. and because tyree is a scrub with bad hands who's probably no longer in the nfl. one of the many nicknames for the play is the double miracle. i didn't coin that. everyone in the world knows it was lucky. including the two involved. i'm simply calling a fluke a fluke here. it's not a statement of fact but an opinion. you're taking it the wrong way. you think i'd turn down a fluke superbowl victory? no sir.
  10. hey dog. you didn't tell me i was going to be found guilty by association just for talking to you now apparently i am the bad egg and have lost all cred and respect here such a unique place this is
  11. everyone in the world knows that was a lucky play including Elisha Manning and the scrub wr. it's a fluke that could never ever happen again youre right about your defense tho, the true mvp of the game.
  12. i don't go looking for respect on the internet. i don't know that one can get respect on the internet when they're anonymous. self-respect? got that. the fluke i was referring to was the sb. I can't take anything away from your playoff run. but the sb was a fluke if there ever was one. for an old and ridiculous argument, many here seem to be engaged by it, so what's the harm if it kicks up a little dust around here. mentioning a guy and agreeing with his assessment of another poster's writing style is miles away from worshipping the ground he walks on.
  13. i joined about a month ago, didn't get approved to post until 2 days ago. i have never been here before that. i take it getting new members here is not common
  14. umm no. i don't expect cred when i've been here all of 3 days now. but i'll get mine no worry
  15. see. you left out the lol's and now nobody has any idea if we're supposed to laugh or not.
  16. oh you must be itali hotdog's buddy. he told me to keep an eye out for you. dizzying indeed there will be a full season. anyone who thinks or says otherwise is a fool. the only thing shortened will be preseason. i used the rams as an example for a very good reason. they hold the record for most straight losing seasons before winning a superbowl. it's much more powerful point don't you think? i call it a fluke because the game literally hinged on a one in a million play by sheli, accompanied by a one in a million miracle catch by a scrub wr. fluke. like winning the lotto twice thanks for putting in all of the lol's. otherwise i never would've guessed which parts were funny.
  17. i didn't know i had any cred here to blow up.
  18. i think u have forgotten what got the bears to the sb that year.
  19. true but you can't take the playoffs by win %, you have to consider the number of wins to be a heavier value than losses. your team is a success if it makes the playoffs regardless of what happens after. and calling peyton a success is quite an understatement wouldn't you agree. I don't think any of you can say elisha is better in the playoffs than peyt. not with a straight face anyway
  20. peyton, no contest then dilfer, then sheli
  21. i'm not 100% on what this means
  22. honestly, would you compare him to peyton before dilfer? i know half of gint nation will agree when i say defense won that game defense was the real mvp peyton earned his
  23. haha no, more likely that dilfer was one of the worst qb's to ever win the big one. only natural to draw that comparison with elisha
  24. no, not at all. fortunately for dilfer and his teammates, his team faced an incredibly inferior opponent, so the end result was never in question. I think the game winning touchdown came in the 1st quarter of that one.
  25. in that respect he looks more like trent dilfer
