  1. Tiki

2005 - Tiki 2200+ yards Giants go 11-5 NFC east Champs and Makes the Playoffs - QB Eli Manning

2004 - Tiki 2000+ yards Giants go 6-10 Tied Last in NFC East - QBWarner / Manning

2003 - Tiki 1800+ yards Giants go 4-12 Dead Last NFC East - QB Kerry / Palmer

2002 - Tiki 1900+ yards Giants go 10-6 2nd NFC east and make the Playoffs - QB Kerry Collins

What's the difference between all these years? 2002 Kerry Collins / 2005 Eli Manning

Maybe some one else had a hand in our 11-5 record(There is a reason they call it a team sport)

    Oh and by the way

Without Payton the Colts would have been 2 - 14

Without Shaun Alexander Seattle would have been 4 - 12

Without Tom Brady New England would still be the worst team in the NFL

haha we seem to think alike in this case...

  2. You're an optimist. Without Tiki, last year's team sinks to 4-12.

Without Tom Brady the Pats don't win 3 Superbowls.

Without Terry Bradshaw the Steelers don't win 4 Superbowls in the 70's.

Without Michael Jordan the Bulls don't win 6 NBA Championships.

So really...what is your point by saying this?

  3. Yes, the average giant ticket holder is older than many other teams' ticket holders.

But, i feel it has a lot to do with the stadium people upstairs.

Bob Shepard isn't that kind of guy that is goin to fire up fans in any way.

Of course, he will be missed, but hopefully there can be someone more energetic (like the net's arena voice, lol he crazy.)

We also don't rly play any songs that pump ppl up other than hells bells.

They should recruit Harry Kalas...the greatest sportscaster ever. :TU:

  4. As much as the Giants need a DT, I wouldn't cry if they somehow wheeled and dealed and ended up with Maryland TE Vernon Davis. It'll never happen, of course, but it sure would address another glaring problem for the Giants at the TE position.

    ok?

  5. Yeah ... forget about Defensive Tackle in round 1 unless we trade up. There isn't a quality candidate available at the 25 spot.

Personally, I'd rather Ryans over Cromartie, regardless of Arrington. Methinks we have greater depth at corner even if Will Pete is done. Arrington can play both strong or weak side, although he whined like a baby when asked to play SAM in Washington. I just think a nucleus of Pierce and Ryans at LB is a formidable pair. At corner you have to assume that DeLoatch will benefit from playing experience last season. If you take Madison, Webster, DeLoatch and Walker, that's enough depth for my comfort level that I don't feel the need to go after Cromartie.

IMHO Howard should not be an option. He's not first round material. While I think Carpenter can be a contributor there will definitely be other prospects I like better when we select so if we go Bobby at 25 I'll be disappointed.

    You're kidding me right?

  6. It's so hard to say at 25 as you have no idea who will still be on the board, and who the Giants even like. A lot of what the Gian's will do, depends on that of the clubs selecting before them.

Yes obviously. This is assuming they are still there.

  7. So 1 year isn't enough but two years is? I still don't understand what point you're trying to make. Which means you're not doing a good job of making it.

There are 2 years probably since that would make a more even comparison. I don't really get the point of the thread either since football is a team sport and not an individual sport. Just ask Peyton or Dan Marino.

  8. I'll go ahead and save the Fab 4 some time.

    Eli Manning

    Plaxico Burress

    Jeremy Shockey

    William Joseph

    Sam Madison

    Will Demps

    Tom Coughlin

    Ernie Accorsi

    Michael Strahan

    Osi Umenyiora

    Tiki Barber

    Amani Toomer

    Ralph Wiggum

    Cartman

and the first dude in the stands who cheers for anyone on the team.

    :LMAO:

  9. actually makes me want to draft a receiver in the first round...

    burress/toomer/carter/taylor

    brown/moulds/gaffney/lewis

    moss/randle el/lloyd/patten

    t.o./glenn/crayton/?

tough receiving cores in the nfc east

Wouldn't you want to draft defense to stop their WRs???

  10. I recently saw the Skins highlight, the first play of the game which he dropped. That was horrendous. Heard he didn't do much better after that either.

It's not the fact that some of these balls weren't catchable and his stats went down that bothered me. It was his attitude. It's not TOish or anything, I believe he is very good with the media. But I saw it up close about the effort that Plax gave out. I can say that from the Vikings game on aside from the Raiders game, he gave 65% or around there every game on his routes. He showed obvious frustration and because of that did not run as hard on his routes.

It was just as much Eli's fault as Plax, but he has that attitude and lack of consistently showing upt hat's got me questioning if he really is a true #1 WR or not.

Goddamn, the guy just wants to win. Can't you see that? Yea he dropped a few balls and that should be improved on but if Eli makes a few throws this guy is an instant probowler so don't tell me he's not a #1 WR. His QB just needs to play catch up with his talent.

  11. I think Plax has tremendous ability and I like his talent a lot but as of now, I really don't consider him a true #1 WR. Very talented but he hasn't shown qualities of a true #1. He hasn't been consistent, hasn't showed up to every game, etc. He also had that horrible Christmas Eve game against the Skins.

No point to the Javon arguement though. That is just hypothetical. I do want a WR though that can actually make Plax more motivated and get him to become more consistent.

You can say Plax didn't show up to every game, but other than the playoff game I don't think that is a valid statement. Eli was terrible down the stretch and Plax's #'s went down. Is it really his fault that many of Eli's passes were terribly thrown? Turn one or two of those shitty passes into completions for Plax each game and I think you'd be singing a different tune right now.

  12. Oh !! about the Fag 4 crack!!!

Those guys happen to be long time Giants fans that have the

scars that go with the turf. I dont always agree with everything they

say but I you take the time to really listen they have many valid points.

The giants fan with the rose colored glasses on they will torch every time.

Are they Giants fans??? absolutely!!!! Are they hard on the organization??

Without question!! I am too. I invested years of watching as a loyal fan

and over the years the giants Org. have made some bone headed decisions.

Yet through it all like me there still watching the team they love.

Being a Giants fan is certainly a love hate relationship !

THe fab 4's opinions are the devils advocate and is vital to this forum.

Other wise we would have posters that would think that everything is fine

and we will win the S-bowl every year.

I dont always agree with them but i respect the fact that the never bring

    other posters down personally.

And if you dont like their opinions there always the ignore feature.

I think you secretly enjoy there company !!! ;)

That really brought a tear to my eye :(

  13. I'm hearing that the Giants are targetting OLB's such as Chad Greenway (Iowa), Demeco Ryans (Ala.), Bobby Carpenter (OSU) and Thomas Howard (UTEP). They would love for a WR such as Chad Jackson or Santonio Holmes to fall to them, but it's unlikely.

Out of those LB's I'd like Ryans in the 1st round or Howard in the 2nd.

  14. Then that indicates complete ignorance on what a number one receiver should be.

Look at his stats last season. They are definately worthy of a #1 WR and don't tell me "Plax dissapeared in the playoff game or the end of the season" because just about everone didn't show up against Carolina and Eli's struggles are the direct cause of Plaxico's decrease in the 2nd half of the season. He's only going to get better next season.
