If I can borrow a statement from the recently departed State Senator Loyd Bensten.........."Lockhart is a friend of mine, I know Lockhart, he's a founding memeber of the Fab Four. You dabronxchef are no Lockhart."
Lockhart had nothing to do with the greatness of the Beatles.
You are a groupie.

Not me. Still a diehard Phillies Phan.
Even if you took 2 from us this time. This time. :brooding:

negativity !
this board has always been slow for football talk. it's terrible.

EA can be very entertaining at times...but not as much as you guys would like him to be. EA has made some bad moves, but I give the guy credit at least for all the good he has done for this organization. I think that when you compare the job he has done compared to other GMs throughout the NFL it's pretty satisfying. I rank him in the top 10 for GMs in the NFL, and when you compare the good to the bad, the good considerably outweighs the the bad.
Good: BJ
Bad: Ron Dayne
Good: Osi
Bad: Willie Jo (depends on this season)
Good: Shockey
Bad: Dan Campbell
Good: Tyree
Bad: Carter
Anyways, you see where I'm going with this, and if Eli turns out to be great then that move he made will be remebered for a long time and he'll go down as one of the greatest GMs in the NFL.
I can't really see how Tim Carter being injured all the time is EA's fault though. Carter could be a very good 3rd WR if he could stay on the field. Instead he really hasn't seen much playing time in his career and his experience isn't that much greater than someone like Jamaar Taylor or even Sinorice Moss.

yah i can definetely do that for you... don't worry about the pictures - i have a larger version of the first and many similar to the second... i'll try and come up with something you'll like.
give me at most a couple days and i'll post back here when i'm done. thanks for the request!
No no no...thank YOU for the sig!

Could you make me a sig with the following pictures and the text Charles Way and a #30 on it? Just give it a Giants theme with the colors and logos. I'm not picky. Thanks a lot!
P.S. If the 2nd image is too small then it doesn't have to be used.

Sure thing...What do you want to talk about? Start a thread and let's have some decent Giants FB talk.
I'm about to go fishing so I'll have to take a rain check. Sorry.

Seriously, other than past history, what would hold the Faux Four to this board.
It's not loyalty and clearly there's little endearing you to the G.
You love Big Ben, not a problem, go root for he and the Steelers.
Losing debates, being proben wrong, and not beiing clever is no way to go through life boys. Try and do your homework, this is getting boring.
If you guys ignore them they'll go away and maybe there can be some decent football conversation around here rather than childish fights in every fucking thread...

I think it'll be really tough for us to make the playoffs this year given Eli plays like he did at the end of last year. He won't just have to improve slightly...more like greatly. Also the defense was nothing to brag about last year (except for creating turnovers) so we need to hope that this whole "excess pass rush" mentallity we are going to have pays off or a lot of teams are going to expose the defense.
-
This year he's gonna yell: "Floyd's a bitch, Floyd's a bitch."
I'm sure Eli really gives 2 shits about a bunch of no-life internet geeks.

I didn't realize how good of a 1st round that draft had. A rare case in the NFL.

Taylor is far more talented than Moss. He could be our number one. But he has to recover...I'm telling you, when he played for Texas A&M. He was simply amazing!
I agree that Taylor is incredibly talented but I think Moss will be more productive in the NFL especially with all the restrictions on CB's these days. It's going to be hard to cover him when he's so quick. I can't honestly assess Moss since he hasn't played a down in the NFL, but I'm just making predictions.
-
they are stacked at WR, Jabarr Gaffney is better than anyone the Giants have.including the all pro receiver - Pinkston.
haha I don't think any of their WRs really qualify as starters. Just a bunch of backups that get thrown into the fire. Philly should just keep ignoring the fact that they have absolutely no running game and that their WR's are mediocre at best. That'll show the rest of the NFL!!
-
I'm not so sure Carter is a sure in. I think Ponder and Carter are goners.
Taylor is probably the most talented WR on our roster. I saw this man have a major knee injury and still run a 4.3 in the combine 6 months later. I've seen this kid play...He's amazing! It would be a big mistake if we kept Carter or Ponder.
I agree that Taylor has too much talent to give up on yet. We also have to realize that Toomer doesn't have much time left and if Moss reaches his full potential, he'd be our #2. Burress, Moss, and Taylor would be a very productive group of WRs.

The Giants, in a clandestine effort to uncover precisely what goes on during his alleged "workouts" in South Beach, sent me to surreptitiously record the goings on at his Spa and Bar.
The early results are not encouraging, as the picture below will attest. Here we see Jeremy in full Bimbo mode on the beach, with a glazed and crazed look in his eyes. Yet when asked about his workout regimen, Jeremy replied, "I thought this is what was meant by a dumbbell press.
I can see the jealousy oozing out of you. Don't worry, there's always prostitution for people like you.

If only we were as great as the Eagles and had BOTH the Detmer brothers!
-
How many threads on this topic are you going to start??? We get the point.
-
We'll see more of him next year and I don't think we'll be dissapointed.

I definately think there are many inexperienced posters on Giants.com but a lot of you guys have this "superior poster" attitude. Yes many of them don't know much about football, but is it really that hard to educate them? I learn from you guys all the time on this board, but I'm not the most knowledgable poster. Maybe I should be made fun of on here. The Giants board is still a good source for articles and the traffic on there is great. Plus they don't have the Fabulous 4 bullshit on there. This board has 5 trolls that are worse than all the trolls combined on that board. I still like SW but I don't feel that Giants.com is a totally useless meessage board though FLOOD CONTROL SUCKS!!!

Actually, Shockey is on his way to the swimming pool again today as he again blows off Coughlin's request to join the rest of the NY Giant team in off season workouts, and throwing sessions with Eli - Felllow "me-first" receiver Plaxico has also joined him in the South Beach "workouts". Perhaps if Shockey worked out with his teammates and QB in the offseason, instead of lounging around in Miami all off season he would play an entire season. To this point Shockey has never played well an entire season, and has been dismal in his two playoff games. He runs out of gas every year late in the season - the sign of an out-of-shape player.
So predictable...
-
Correct again, I like how people automatically are penciling in Webster as the opposite starter. After watching his limited playing time last year, he showed that his tackling was awful and his covering wasn't any better.
He didn't do any better or worse than last year's top CB picked, Pac Man Jones. I think you forget he was a rookie. Give the guy time to adjust to the NFL.
-
These guys are fucking working out! Lifting weights! Tell me how that is oh so important in building chemistry with Eli. You guys take everything and put it out of proportion.
-
This was just a chance of drafting the BPA. At first I was shocked but I like the pick the more I think about it. I also heard that we really wanted Kelly Jennings but Seattle dicked us over for that one (go figure). Either way I'm excited to see what this guy can do. Our first 4 picks were pretty solid if you ask me.

I noticed Dwayne Slay was undrafted. That came as a surprise to me.

Maybe playing QB and taking a few hits would knock some sense into you. I'm down with that.
