Most definitely over achieving. Those late game collapses were against much better teams. Doesn't excuse the loss but the Giants played way above expectations many times last year. That's why this whole off season has been a head scratcher and Coughlin should have a gripe with management.

Depends on how you look at it Tree. I would argue it was fantastic coaching that even got us that close to winning those games in the 1st place considering the complete lack of talent across most of the roster.

Randle is a middle of the pack WR and it wouldn't be an upgrade. Randle at least still has youth and knows the system and Eli. With all the issues the Giants have Randle is far down the list. The Giants should just re-sign him because he won't cost much. This will give Reese time to find his next unicorn WR.

Kearse is probably the only free agent wide receiver that strikes me as having potential to be better than average and even he's a little bit of a gamble. When you consider that and all the good defensive free agents available we might be better off addressing wr in the draft

Exactly, the Giants need to address defense and OLine definitely over WR. With Beckham, hopefully Cruz, maybe Randle and Harris, a late round WR would be better (if at all).

Exactly, which is what I am trying to point out. This "injury prone" tag is odd for Amukamara. He played full 16 last year and missed 3 the year before. If you're going to bash him then fine but posters on this board act like he's played 10 games his whole career. With the amount of injuries the Giants sustain year in and year out he's basically an iron man. I also doubt he'd get $10 million but at $7-$8...do it.

Which is going to be the Cowboys' dilemma. Draft a QB because Romo is on the down slide or defense and hope duct tape and prayers carries Romo through the season.

They have cap room but I'm not sure they can keep both Howard and berry. Whoever they let walk I want to go after him hard.

I'm not sure where all this hate is for Amukamara. He's barely injury prone, seriously name a player that starts 16 games every season, and is a good CB. Last year played every game and the year before that only missed 3. I'm sure he'll get at least $8 million a year. Shit the Giants are already probably going to pay a mediocre player in FA $5 million a year anyway. May as well pay $8 - $9 million for a starter.

Honestly, if he became available I'd throw the house at that guy. This defense needs not only a playmaker, but a leader.

He won't be. He's most definitely going to be franchised. Even if he wasn't teams like the Raiders have a lot more cap room than the Giants do. I'd rather the Giants didn't make a splash and signed good starters at positions of need (which is almost the entire roster).
