I think that was my problem though, I just strike it as hard as I can without a follow through. I never understood how my kicks were good but punts were trash. His kicking motion is that of a side swing too which is unorthodox.

The shape of the football makes it ridiculously difficult to be accurate and give it hang time at the same time... I remember trying punting and it would most go way up... for a 20 yard punt lol.

Well you have to take into account other factors like our WRs... The guy in Philly had 2 or 3 pro bowlers and a solid OL... DJ had none of those. And the pay isn't really that high if you consider the QB market. In a year or two, when he has some pieces around him, this deal will look like a bargain.

His ability to run saved our asses because he has no receivers. The kid put his body on the line. You have to be able to reward hard work.

As you all already know... I'm a DJ homer. I'm happy for him and I think he already is a top 10 given the team around him.
