  1. Jacobs is great, but I still doubt his running abilities. unfortunately we haven't had a chance to see him take the load. If only we seen him play a whole game, not (pre-season) but during the regular season. I still think he is too big, but he is a good short yardage back. Now, we have to see if he can last a whole game.

I realy dont want to ever see Jacobs take a LOAD ;)

  2. If Smarjarzh???, was available to us and wants to play football, then I'd pick him if they're no good linebackers available. A possession receiver is a key pickup for the Giants IMO.

I kinda like Lawrence Timmons....His initials equate to great OLB :)

  3. All the "experts" are saying the Giants are going to pick a CB.. Most of you are looking LB / WR in the draft and signing a Vet CB via FA....I would realy love a a possetion type WR....

But, if you had to take a CB in the draft who would it be?

Here is a quote from Espn

    Espn

    Jan. 9, 2007

    20. N.Y. Giants (8-8)

Projected pick: +Darrelle Revis, CB, Pittsburgh

The Giants must upgrade their cover-corner situation, and Revis displays the athleticism and ball skills to fit their needs. Revis will compete for the second cornerback taken behind Hall in this year's class.

    21. Denver (9-7)

Projected pick: Daymeion Hughes, CB, Cal

The tragic passing of Darrent Williams will force the Broncos to re-evaluate their personnel needs this offseason.

    22. Dallas (9-7)

Projected pick: +Reggie Nelson, S, Florida

Nelson, a speedy center fielder with excellent ball skills, would provide an ideal complement next to hard-hitting S Roy Williams.

    23. Kansas City (9-7)

Projected pick: +Sidney Rice, WR, South Carolina

Rice's draft stock could fluctuate greatly depending on his postseason workouts. Assuming he grades out as a late first-round prospect, the Chiefs would welcome his pass-catching services on the perimeter.

    24. y-New England (from Seattle)

Projected pick: +Jarvis Moss, DE/OLB, Florida

Moss is an undersized pass-rushing end who would fit well as an outside linebacker in the Patriots' 3-4 defensive scheme. Plus, Bill Belichick obviously has a thing for Gators players.

    25. y-N.Y. Jets (10-6)

Projected pick: Kenny Irons, RB, Auburn

Irons' draft stock is plummeting after a disappointing senior campaign. However, don't be surprised if he works his way back into the first round by running well and checking out physically at next month's combine. The Jets might be desperate enough to take a gamble.

    26. y-New Orleans (10-6)

Projected pick: Marcus McCauley, CB, Fresno State

The Saints need lots of help on defense, and selecting McCauley would be a step in the right direction. McCauley is raw but he's also a 6-foot-1 cornerback with 4.3-second speed in the 40-yard dash.

    27. y-Philadelphia (10-6)

Projected pick: +Lawrence Timmons, OLB, Florida State

Timmons is unpolished, but he's a big hitter with great speed for his size.

    28. y-New England (12-4)

Projected pick: Jeff Samardzija, WR, Notre Dame

Samardzija could easily slip out of the first round due to his desire to play both baseball (Cubs) and football professionally. The Patriots should be "in the know" thanks to their old buddy Charlie Weis.

    29. y-Indianapolis (12-4)

Projected pick: Patrick Willis, ILB, Ole Miss

The Colts' run defense was abysmal during the regular season, so drafting a one-man wrecking crew like Willis makes a lot of sense with this pick. Willis notched 265 tackles during his final three seasons at Ole Miss.

    30. y-Chicago (13-3)

Projected pick: Levi Brown, OT, Penn State

Brown could slip after a disappointing senior season, but it's still tough to find a tackle with his combination of size and agility.

    31. y-Baltimore (13-3)

Projected pick: LaMarr Woodley, DE/OLB, Michigan

The Ravens could use a youth influx at linebacker, and Woodley would be a good fit thanks to his experience playing in a similar hybrid 3-4/4-3 defensive scheme at Michigan.

    32. y-San Diego (14-2)

Projected pick: Dwayne Bowe, WR, LSU

A young weapon like Bowe at wide receiver could take an already-potent Chargers offense to the next level.

  4. I don't think so, but that's probably because Shockey was actually thrown to in the first half, unlike these past two years. That's not to say that Plax isn't rubbing off on him, but Shock is a playmaker and he wants the ball ALL the time. It's hard to go half a game without being involved at all and not get frustrated.

He is our leading receiver...how many more time do you want them to throw to him? If he threw to him all the time you would be saying the same thing about Plax......

  5. Coughlin was never forced to coach in a game. Thats what the cordinators do. Tom Never assumed play calling at any point. I love when people just say shit to suit there cause. WTF are you talking about?

You all would have said the same shit about Parcells, in his first couple years. But you will all be sweating his nutz once he brings super bowl glory

I hate him and want him to go....That being said... If he wins us the Superbowl I'll give him head

  6. I can't tell if you're advocating my point or not, but nevertheless I'll add my two cents about those 4 games.

Indy: We were down by 2 with about 4 mins remaining when Eli threw an int. And let's not forget the off. had the ball last with a minute and change to work with.

Tennessee: Are you forgetting about 2 Eli turnovers? One that resulted in a td and another that gave Ten the winning FG. The drive that gave the winning fg started at our own 49. And let's not even bring up the fact that our offense did nothing in the 2nd half of that game.

Dallas: Yeah most of the blame falls on the d here. But there were a few faults to the offense.

A turnover by Dal that got 0 points. A 4th and 1 that we didn't convert. And 2 drives into the Dallas 5 that got just 2 fg's.

Philly: 4 turnovers and 14 pts off of turnovers, including the crucial game killer by Cole.

Special teams giving up a 64 yd return netting an eventual td. That's 21 pts and they beat us by 14.

Offense gets to the Phi. 29 and fg, Phi. 5 and fg, Phi 16 and fg.

And once again the game ended in the hands of our offense.

Stop it...Realy just stop...The d gave up 24points in the 4th...Regardles of what the O did it had us up by 21 with 11 min left...Stop trying to blaim that game on ELI..Yeah he threw 2 int's...One was Burress's fault one was a stoopid throw...But they also scored 21 points...

    Lets put it this way

The worst D in the NFL (49ers) gives up an average of 25 points a GAME the Giants gave up 24 points in 11 MIN!!! Yeah keep blaiming the O that make sence

  7. That whole..."Eli doesnt throw to Shock" is complete BS...Shockey is our leading WR!! He has more catches this year then Plax!!!

Get off him for that Saints game..HE HAD A BROKEN FINGER!! You try catching a football with a broken finger.

I take Shockey over any TE in the NFL...Why you ask...His attitude! He pumps this team up! He is what I want out of every player on this team....A guy who would fight to the death to win...I havent seen the same passion from a TE since the great Bavaro...Yeah thats right the BEST TE IN THE NFL SINCE BAVARO!!!

For those who say "Shockey is over rated"...HE IS THE 2nd FASTED TE IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL TO REACH 300 CATCHS how is that over rated

  8. Our offense is supposed to be the strength of this team. They've got all the talent, yet don't produce.

Blaming the d for giving up a fieldgoal in the last drive is ridiculous when it was the offense who put us in the position to lose by a fg.

What Talent? 2 of our best players are IR'ed. And the other (shockey) couldn't walk let alone run? The only talent on the team right now is Plax, Tiki, and Eli. What good are Plax and Eli if they dont have any other Wr's?

Oh and teams win the game in the 4th Quarter...You dont win in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd you win in the 4th....Let me show a couple of exaples...Phili game 1...Tenn...get my drift

The O put this team in a position to win and thats a FACT.... the D did what it has been doing all year long...Shiting the bed in the 4th and thats a fact !!

  9. Secondary, try to get a experienced tackle in free agency, we (Eli) can't wait until a lineman develops.

Yeah I agree. I would also Like our OC to change from a 7 step drop when we are having protection problems

  10. Im not the doom sayer type. BUT, If a QB Does NOT have faith in his blind side protection, which it is obvious he didn't once Luke went out, the season is over....Im sorry to say it. But unless Eli has Faith in is blind side protection our season is lost. Not to kill BW but he does give Eli reason for concern. It the Giants can find a way to give Eli confadence in his blind side we will be fine.
