All this talk about getting into the playoffs, and I see that the NL East record is absolutely nothing compared to the NL Central record or the American League My question is, do you think...if the Mets even made it in to the playoffs, that they would go far at all? Bullpen help, and fast. Thursday is the deadline, and I'm afraid we'll be stuck with the same damn bullpen that blows everything for us. Need a couple late inning guys, more than we need an outfielder. anyone agree with me?

First place. Both games qualify for big game saves in my opinion. The team needs Wagner, and most importantly the 9th inning needs him. Mets are awesome. Let's go on a roll here.

Playoff atmosphere in July... Here we go again. Mets vs Phillies again, only this time it's not in a little league ballpark. My predictions... Mets win 2 out of 3. Blanton will be interesting to face, wonder how he does wearing the Phillie uniform.

Now that the streak is over, I say it's time to get back to reality here. The Mets are a talented ball club, and they definitely have what it takes to be in First Place. The thing that worries me about them is that I feel they are still inconsistent. John Maine is losing it, he's not doing well. Jose Reyes is 0-10 coming out of the all star break. Pedro might be hurt. We have no good corner outfielder. The bullpen may or may not be inefficient. Overall, this has been a great run. Need to capitalize, and win the series against the Reds, and get them Phillies behind us.
