  1. ahh, very true. the dog stands corrected on the year. kudos to the walking almanac...
  2. the dog stated this firmly in 2002 upon joining giants.com...the dog has watched time and time again as good debates deteriorate into mudslinging when oppossing fans come to discuss football...it de-evolves into comments like, "yeah, well, your team hasnt won anything since...etc..." or "the giants beat your asses last time we played (4 years ago in some cases...)"....
  3. the dog doesnt prefer to attend games live...finds the experience to be overall lacking for the money spent...that being said, it is possible the last time the dog attended a giant game was in '97 when they beat the broncos, a game the dog wouldnt have jumped at except a dear friend had season tickets and one available, and since the broncos were unbeaten at the time, it seemed it could have been worth it...good game in terms of the level of competition, but quite frankly was a bit boring overall... the dog isnt a giants fan, doesnt mean the dog isnt interested...
  4. this is an interesting question to the dog...the dog can in all honesty say that he recognizes the name lockhart and floyd the barber from long ago, but does not know the other names. the dog has seen them eluded to in the past, but has no idea what they did to cause issue here. the short answer to your question is, the dog has no idea how they are doing. the dog's only interaction with lockhart dates back to giants.com and was rather negative in tone. cant recall just what it was about, but oddly enough the dog thinks it had to do with adam vinitari for some odd reason...
  5. difficult question. the dog recalls having one loaded with potatos, peppers, mustard and ketchup. it was OK. the dog tends to lean towards keeping the basics basic. for example, the dog enjoys a good classic burger on occassion, but once people start to try and fancy up the burger (i.e., adding chopped mushrooms to the ground beef...etc...) then the dog has to stay away. you want to throw some bacon and cheddar with a tomato, fine...but leave the blue cheese for the salad...
  6. asked and answered...the dog will address this at a different time, because once this discussion is opened up, it takes on a life of its own and spirals downward from there...
  7. limited...the dog has had this discussion countless times, and responded to the question asked. in the end, does it matter if he is elite or not when you are days away from the super bowl? the dog is more than willing to discuss this further after the super bowl is complete. as a giants fan, would you rather have manning throw 5 td passes in a losing effort so you can try and argue better that he is elite, or would you rather have him throw 5 picks in a win so you can say your team won the super bowl? that is the dog's point.
  8. please see the dog's response to hampton...thank you.
  9. the dog has to tip his hat to eli, he has certainly been playing with more consistency which has plagued him throughout his career. top 5 is not unrealistic, but the dog has been out of commission as of late and would like to reserve some time to review the QBs this year again. whether or not the dog would consider him elite is a side discussion for sure, but in the end, the giants are playing for a super bowl...does it matter who is elite and who isn't for the next few days? we were a missed field goal and two botched punts away from seeing a super bowl being highlighted by alex smith vs. joe flacco...the dog will reserve the elite discussion for after the season. as the dog has said, post season winning consistently comes down to better defensive play and winning the turnover battle. the dog doesn't see sunday being any different.
  10. OK...the dog again wishes you well. now you go get dolled up in your finest darth maul costume and get out the door...the rest of the star wars fanatics are gethering for your daily reenactment of your star wars movie scene of choice. dont want them to start without you...
  11. you seem a bit obsessed with this type of discussion...the dog would like to suggest that perhaps Cosmo magazine may have a forum that better suits your needs. the dog would like to focus on the super bowl from this point forward. the dog wishes you well on your future endeavour to relieve your sexual frustrations and find suitable discussions to satisfy your curiosities...
  12. wow...another loud thud...the dog recognizes your ability to make it rain lead balloons, and is less than impressed...
  13. the dog also wonders if you heard the rather loud thud of the lead balloon landing outside your window...zzzzzzzzz...........
  14. the dog wonders if there will be more questions from the intelligent fan base of the sportswrath community?
  15. the dog doesn't anticipate any direct contact with anything divine on Sunday...but you never can say for sure...
  16. the dog can tell you that he is no fan of either team playing this weekend, but the dog does look forward to what should be yet another entertaining super bowl...
  17. Yes, but it was many years ago and the dog recalls being rather indifferent towards the concept. Hotdogs are hotdogs...no need to spice them up with other things...
  18. yes, the dog is indeed quite surprised. who here can say legitimately that they aren't surprised, with the exception of perhaps jackstroud who has been all in since the midpoint of the season...
  19. the dog is finding sunday very hard to call. to be honest, brady has had a rather large chip on his shoulder which doesnt often bode well for an opponent. however, post season comes down to defense, and the giants currently have the edge there. as it is almost wednesday, at this moment, the dog would actually lean towards the giants. but the dog reserves the right to reassess this as the week goes on. just an fyi, the dog's track record in making super bowl picks is not overly impressive...
  20. please feel free at any time...the dog welcomes any and all questions, and appreciates your recognition of efficiency...
  21. excellent first question. this and that. sadly the dog has seen only one post season game in its entirity if you can believe that, which frustrates the dog when there is so little football left. fortunately it was the broncos-steelers game, which turned out to be quite entertaining...
  22. As promised, the dog is going to spend some time here responding to questions/concerns and/or attacks in attempt to make up for lost time. In an effort to not muddy any other threads, the dog is going to try and keep it all in this location...feel free to go on the offensive. While the dog's time is still spotty, the dog will do his best to respond... if there are no questions/concerns, then the dog wishes you all well this Sunday...
  23. Ha ha ha...OK, first thing is first. Congratulations to giant fans for yet another remarkable run. the dog said didn't think you could catch lightening in a bottle twice, but the giants are one game away from disproving that. unfortunately the dog has been out of commission for several reasons, but rest assured the dog will commit some additional time to the boards in the next week or two in order to answer and address all questions. That being said, with little time to comb through the boards at the moment, the dog will address this silly statement with the following: if this remark made by the dog during the latter weeks of the regular season is idiotic, then the dog wonders, what are your statements considered during the same time period (hmmm...Eagles to win division at 8-8...terrible division that shouldn't have a playoff rep...etc..etc..): http://www.sportswrath.com/index.php?showtopic=41496&st=25 the dog recomends you take the "owned" icon and gently but firmly stick it where you most enjoy having things stuck...too funny you are...too funny indeed. see you all soon...
  24. The dog just isn't sure where you are getting your facts from...during that time period the giants were 11-9 against the cowboys, won 3 division titles to Dallas 2, and went to the playoffs 6 times to Dallas 4...in reality it was the redskins that owned that time period in NFC east...the giants weren't dominant except for the super bowl seasons, but to say they consistently pun shed an inferior team is simply not true...
