  1. I really like Ward...I like his upside, you just wait and see in 2-3 years he will be a very good player
  2. great ones... your best ever was the Maurice Clarrett ones...the bus driver
  3. That is exactly what I want as well...sign a vet for the short term, and draft the guy for the future that I think can be a very nice player for years in Jason Allen.
  4. You make a good point... McCree will probually not go for a vet minimum though He is coming of a good year... I am not a huge "stat" guy...but I will admit, I just looked at there statistics and McCree and Chavous definately have a pretty bug edge over Omar's so I guessI was wrong into thinking Omar is the guy that I want...now I am leaning toward McCree and Chavous I would definately look into McCree preferabley...He seems like he is good in coverage according to the scouting report I just read, and coverage is really what I am focused on at FS for now..since Gibril is not to good in coverage. I do not know what EA is planning this month...but I just hope he drafts a Safety who has good coverage skills, early on.
  5. McCree is a very good player though...and I admit he would be a better signing than Omar..much much much better
  6. Chavous is another option, as is Schulters but Stoutmire should come the cheapest...and I have always liked him, he seems to be a good guy, plays hard, and can deliver some punishment. Besides if we drafted Allen, Im sure he'd start.
  7. Reminds me of Ben Watsons combine...only Davis has proved more on the field
  8. I agree with the Vet and Rookie arrangement... although I would prefer Stoutmire and Jason Allen Stoutmire has played here, know the system...and Allen will provide a ball-hawk that will make up for the lack of INT's from the CB's...
  9. Ya he would be a good pickup...but in terms of money, he will cost a good chunk of change...probually around 12-17 million and I think that Jason Allen would be a great player....but the question I have is, will he be there in round 2 for us? I personally would trade down and take Jason Allen...and Abdul Hodge with our pcik in round 2 but back to the Safety situation...Take Allen and sign Stoutmire to a 1year deal incase Allen shows up completely Raw....
  10. Brent Alexander retired today, and that leaves us short a very solid safety who was our best Interceptor without him, our INTs should drop a bit... SOOOOooo....What can we do? On the roster we have...James Butler now call me crazy, but even though Butler played well at times when he played last year, I still am not sold on him and would like to do better. The agressive high pay off, high risk option is... Jason Allen: The guy would have been a top 15 pick had he come out last year. He missed the whole year due to a knee injury, but when healthy he is a absolute ball-hawk, he is also very athletic, and can play CB, FS, and SS...so versatility is always nice as well... -------------------- A couple of lousy and stupid ways to fill the need would to sign... Tank Williams: He is young, can hit, one problem...he is SS and Gibril is not a good cover guy so him at FS is an option, but he is better off at SS, and having two Safetys who are below average in coverage is not a great move. Adam Archulata: See above ...only Tank would be better ----------------- A risky move is... Chris Hope: He played very well in Pittsburgh, he can tackle and is decnt in coverage, he can play SS or FS very effectively, but I am almost 100% sure that he is a product of the system, and he would not do as well here. -------------------- A safe bet is... Omar Stoutmire: He is very durable (excluding that knee injury 2 years ago) he is a outstanding hitter, he will come cheap, he has played here before, is fair in coverage...but will get next to 0 INTs...so he is solid, but is not much of a playmaker at all. So please give me your thoughts on the FS situation...
  11. Go away Jackpot...or should I say MichiganFan
  12. I am hoping that it stays under 95 million this would kill the Redskins, they have a number of players that will be cut... same with the J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS
  13. ya....but they git ripped off in that trade.. they should have decided not to take butler and get there picks, and they may have been able to get Wade at the time the trade was made
  14. ya its all cause of the that crappy stadium... if it goes uncapped, then we should sell the naming rights...
  15. The key to a succesful 3-4 scheme is to have a great nose tackle. -we have no great DT or NT- Another key is to have big LB's who can blitz -we only have 2 LB who can play a 3-4, Torbor, and Emmons- Another key is to have a great safety -we have no great safety, althogh Gibril is workable- And last but not least two big strong DE's -Strahan weighs 250 and so does Osi- Strahan and Osi would not succeed in a 3-4, and they are our current strength maybe 10 years from now
  16. It is definately fake... but the real question is...who is/was worse Isiah or Scott? I mean I dont even think Isiah would have given Houston 100 million....
  17. that is exactly why I am so worried, we have a core in Eli, Shockey, Osi, Pierce, Snee, and hopefully Wilson and Webster...we are climbing, and this would ruin it for us and basically half the leauge...but it would affect the Giants and Jets the most since neither franchise is real wealthy and a new stadium is going to be built...
  18. I was kidding... but James Dolan is probually one of the more wealthier owners in sports, and buy far the richest in the NBA...but he runs a horrible franchise, but it was GM's fault...he owns Cablevision and MSG
  19. which is why James Dolan should buy the Giants if it goes uncapped, but he would probually hire Terrell Owens as the GM...
  20. Click Here ha read the whole thing, its pretty funny
