Storm Posted March 18, 2013 Share Posted March 18, 2013 I think it's not exactly true, it's something like the top 51 contracts count towards it. So the top 51 are likely higher than vet minimum. I think that's only during the offseason though. Wow that's confusing. Free agency has way too many nuances for me. I think the way it works is if the player's salary is, say 950k, it counts as somewhere between 500-700k against the cap. The top 51 rule also applies, but it won't effect vet minimum because it's mostly just UDFAs and rookies who fail to reach the top 51. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
