Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger has secured the details on Giants quarterback Eli Manning's six-year, $97.5 million contract extension. If Manning can sock just a little money away, I'm thinking the next generation of Mannings should be able to stay afloat. Here's a look at the numbers:

SIGNING BONUS: $13 million

OPTION BONUS: $12.5 million (2010 is the option year)

BASE SALARIES

  • 2009: $7.5 million (fully guaranteed)
  • 2010: $6.5M (injury guarantee)
  • 2011: $8.5M ($7.5M injury guarantee)
  • 2012: $10.75M
  • 2013: $13M
  • 2014: $15.15M
  • 2015: $17M

CAP NUMBERS

  • 2009: $13.07M
  • 2010: $12.1M
  • 2011: $14.1M
  • 2012: $16.35M
  • 2013: $18.6M
  • 2014: $18.15M
  • 2015: $17.5M
