since the all star break, the yankees starters are 8-2 with a 2.73 ERA...and Jorge Posada has caught 11 of 13 games. I guess he cant still catch afterall.

 

If the Yankees had split the 8 games they have lost to the red sox this season, the yankees would be 11.5 games up in the division today.

 

Needless to say, if the yankees are able to hold ground or even gain more between now and the next series with the red sox, a yankees sweep of the red sox with pretty much lock up the division for the yankees.

You coulda blew me over with a feather. Besides that, everybody runs up a lucky streak once in awhile. But hey, if he turned his game around after the media came down on him, more power to us.

 

I see the Sox went got themselves a bat. That'll make them a little tougher, and I won't be surprised if Kotchman proves more valuable than Hernandez..
