Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome told the Baltimore Sun that the team will use the franchise tag on Suggs if it is unable to reach a long-term deal with the linebacker/defensive end by Thursday. The Ravens would give Suggs a one-year contract worth $10.2 million to keep him off the free-agent market, according to the newspaper. This would be the second straight year Baltimore has applied the franchise tag to Suggs. But, Newsome said, "You have to look at it as an opportunity for us to enter into a long-term deal." Meanwhile, the Bucs are expected to tag Bryant by the deadline, according to NFL Network. ProFootballTalk.com's Mike Florio speculates that the wide receiver will sign the one-year offer of $9.488 million. http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=519094
BlueInCanada
Well I knew Bryant was going to get tagged or re-signed. He is the only play making WR the Bucs have had in awhile and people who thought they we're going to let him go we're smoking something funny. I'm surprised they hit Suggs with another tag, you think they would of worked something out. Wish he was wearing Blue though....Suggs/Tuck/Kiwi/Osi....
