I remember when there was thought to be a relation between the Meadowlands swamps and the string of serious illnesses the Giants went through.

And is coaching football at West Valley College.

This is an old guy thing. Back in the late 70's, Danny was a Linebacker for us. He was injured, and they found out he had cancer in his lymph nodes. He never played for us again, but I never knew what happened to him until now. Thrilled to know he's is a survivor, and just wanted to share it with my fellow geezers.

I remember him.....I thought he passed. I also remember the talk of Giant Stadium being part of a "Cancer Cluster" after Kotar died and Loyd got it. ....there was another guy or two as well.

Good to see I was wrong. Guy could ball too.

Troy was a car crash.

Of course, those guys were pounding steroids like crazy, and once Lyle Alzado went down, things got quiet about the meadowlands.

that's right- he was part of the 'curse of the meadowlands' because he was drafted opening year i think. not the ' meadowlands swamp cancer theory'
