  1. JetBlue Stadium could work well.

No. It's bad enough we have to share a stadium with the shitty jets and their piece of shit fans. Fuck the jets having their name in the name of the stadium, let alone going before BLUE. BLUEpuddlejumper is the only take on it I would accept.

  2. No! Never!!!

My money is on Shockey playing with some serious fire in his belly this year.

hehe... the drama over there can get ludicrous at times.

I feel the same way about Shockey. i definitely think he'll be on a mission this year. I just hope it helps him remember his routes and not mouth off in the huddle/sidelines. As of now, I'd have to guess he'd be Eli's 3rd-5th option so he has to focus if he wants the ball. The offense could be fucking sick this year if it all goes the way it should.

  3. I wouldn't mind seeing Plax get a bit of a bump, but I just hope it doesn't open the floodgates for other players. methinks converting some of his salary into a gauranteed bonus, adding a year, and maybe a little bump to each years salary be good. It does irk me that he has 3 years left and he's holding out. 2 years, I could sorta see. Eh, whatev, he was a warrior last year. Just so long as he doesn't get Moss or TO $$$

  4. How is Hixon better than Tyree? Because he can return kicks?

Really there's no way to determine if he's better than Tyree on kick coverage because the only way we could see that is if we have coach's film and are able to re-watch the ST plays.

Hixon was arguably our best gunner last year. Add to that the kick returning, and that's why I say he's better than Tyree.

  5. If you read the story or saw the interview you'd know Shockey basically said your source is full of shit. He said he was upset about the trade rumors and the fact that no one from the Orginazation called him to see how he was doing after his surgeory.

Read Garafolo's article today. That blowhard Shockey has no credibility.

  6. "Unlike the Giants, I'm going to be quiet,"

What a fucking joke! This coming from the asshole who pouts nonstop in the huddle and on the sidelines cause he can't remember his routes or hang on to the ball when it's thrown his way. Let him hold out if he has the guts, and stick him on the Did Not Report list.

  7. I've been reading some of the little spoilers Eric from BBi has been posting and this book seems awesome. Definitely gonna pick it up. Supposedly, EA brings up plenty of Unitas & Elway. How can't you love that

  8. Hixon > Tyree

I like Tyree, and saying I appreciate his play in the SB would be an understatement, but this is a business, we have only so many WR slots, and I want another SB victory. If TC and the staff decide the team is better off with Tyree on the PUP (doubtful if he is healthy), or just cut him, then so be it. Regardless, he'll always be one of my favorite Giants.

  9. Just received the "Road to Super Bowl XLII" DVD. It's a five disc set. Disc 1 is wk 17, 2 is WC Playoffs, 3 Divisional Playoffs, 4 NFC Championship, and 5 Super Bowl XLII. Full games.

EDIT: There's no trophy presentation on the DVDs. :furious:

nO TROPHY PRESENTATION?! WTF? Anyhoo, are the game at least widescreen? I don't wanna see no 4:3 garbage

  10. Does anyone know for certain what games will be included in this set? I've read various reports. One says it's all 4 Giants playoff games plus the week 17 game. The other says the SB, week 17, & the NFC & AFC Championship games. The latter would suck. i could care less about the AFC game.

    ?????????????????????????????????????????????????

  11. there selling 20 games anyway. I have to buy the pre season games whether I want them or not. given that why not make one more of them count?

I had the same thought. My gripe is that I feel you'll have way too many peeps getting injured in those first 4 games....... but i'm bombed right now so what do i knwo........ weeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. From rotoworld.com:

Kevin Boss gained 20 pounds during the offseason and is up to 6'6/272.

The Giants want Boss to be better in the run game, but as with all major weight gains, the added pounds threaten to cost him some speed. His role this year is still likely to be as a situational pass catcher off the bench.

Nice. The better the blocker he becomes, the more he gets on the field, especially with our ground game. I could care less if he loses a little speed. priority #1 is blocking, which the gained muscle will help with, and then receiving 2nd. As long as the added weight doesn't make his brain cells implode and take away his actual catching ability, any loss of speed is meaningless.

  13. I completely disagree. Shockey & Plax took a lot of heat for Eli's inconsistancy last season. No way in hell the receivers were to blame for all those 'drops' and 'wrong routes'.

Eli was inconsistent, but I put an equal amount of the blame on Gilbride for terrible playcalling, which he fortunately corrected the last 4 or so games of the regular season. There is an article out there regarding Eli's inconsistency you should check out. I believe it's on espn. The dude broke down every INT he threw, and the vast majority were the receivers fault. That actually amazed me. Eli was definitely part of the problem, though.
