Cowher is certainly overrated, but he's still a very good coach. I'd say a B or B+, as opposed to the A he gets from the public. He's sorta like an Andy Reid, in that he gets his team to the playoffs every year and they never seem to give up. The important differences are that he's not a pass happy fool and knows that D and running the ball wins in January. That's what intrigues me. If everything goes down the crapper this year, I think I'd be happy with Cowher as TCs replacement. I didn't think this way pre-2007, but i've sorta come around. I like Fox, but the simple fact is he can't put 2 winning seasons together, so pass. Other than Cowher & Bill B, I can't think of any coach i'd like. Of course, this could all be moot if the D is sick. Then Fewell gets the job.

also, someone mentioned Ware being Ward's replacement. I think that falls more to Andre Brown, hence making Ware expendable.

From bbi, Edwards for Ware, Manningham & a 2010 conditional pick (can be as high as a 3rd). With the past draft we had, I believe both players are now expendable, and I absolutely love Ware. Depending on what kind of $ Edwards wants and what Jerry will pay, I'm saying $7.5-$8 mil tops + incentives, methinks this is a no-brainer for a legit #1 entering his prime.

There is this thing in the NFL called a "salary cap". If a player wants "x" amount, and said amount would make you go over this "salary cap" or prevent you from signing other players like your QB, you cannot trade for them.

If we don't get a LB in the the first two rounds, I'll be fucking pissed. Peeps love to repeat the "OLBs aren't important in our defense" mantra, but that is total bs. It has killed the Eagles for years and hurt us last year. You need good OLBs to take on TEs and RBs, as well as blitz when needed. Again, this killed us last year.

Crap article. How would a Cincy paper know what the Giants are thinking? Since when has Reese or TC ever let anything regarding FA and the draft slip? never. How many more teams can they possibly list that are interested in TJ? Do they take any consideration for how much $$ he's going to get, and that we will not pay what he wants? Bob Papa has come out and said he doubts the Giants will be active in FA for a WR, and that they believe in their young WR core and will change the gameplan to compensate.

On top of that, TJ doesn't fit at all. We already have WRs in this mold... Smith & Moss. We need a WR to stretch the field. TJ doesn't do this. He's not a true #1 WR, he's a possession WR. He's also old as all hell.
