  1. I find something to complain about every game, and it has always been the coaching.

Talking about the shortcomings of the team is NOT jumping ship by the way, it is having an honest discussion.

  2. I cant believe that 660 covers the GIANTS. Mike is a Cowgirl fan and I dont even think maddog likes football. The only time they talk lot about the Giants is when they stink it up. Other than that they barely cover the Giants. I wouldnt doubt if the interview with TC makes up for like 30% of there Giants coverage for the week. :TD: Id like to have Giants fans cover the Giants. Im gonna watch the interview and like always there gonna indirectly bash TC and the boys and Im gonna want to punch the TV. :TD:

    I don't even bother listening.

Oh and check your sig, you are missing a n somewhere.

  3. with a down TE.

Who had his best success and gamechanging performances when he was split out often, creating mismatches against CBs, LBs, or safeties...oh by the way that also means you have mismatches when it comes to the running game too, having a LB or safety split wide leaving a gap in the defense. But don't expect any of that to happen soon.

  4. Why do these people not understand someone with a vast knowlege of football.

Because someone who claims to have a vast knowledge of football doesn't even recognize when he is asking a question and properly puncuates it?

Here is a better question: Why is it that someone with a vast knowledge of football doesn't see that when we rush the ball more than 20 times we win, and if we rush less than 20 we lose, regardless of YPC? It is about keeping a defense honest and getting a rythem. 10 carries for your pro bowl RB is not giving him even a chance to get a rythem and open up the game.

  5. Welcome to a far better place.

Eli certainly is accountable for his own actions, but you are right that Huff misuses this offense. Shockey spends his entire time as a down TE. Jacobs has 3 carries, Tiki 10. Oh and we also use the same damn gameplan for each game no matter who we play. Add the lack of midgame adjustments and you end up with failure.

  6. To be perfectly honest I think Plax has no faith whatsoever in Eli. Most of the times he is rolling his eyes or giving disgusted looks to Eli. Maybe he is just tired of the poor throws that he has to make circus catches for or the 10 yards away from him throws. I will admit he has attitude issues (as the announcers pointed out professionals never quit) but it seems he just can't stand the bad throws by Eli.

Well I think it has something to do with around 70-90% of his catches have him going up high for them and opening himself to getting nailed coming down.

  7. Sure if Eli threw it to him there. People seem to like bashing Plax but I cringe to think what this teams record would be without him. He has made some spectacular plays on some awful Eli throws.

He also gives up on his routes often, disapears in games, and gives lackluster effort tackling someone after an INT.

Falcons game Deangelo Hall gets an INT. Plax starts heading for the sideline nice and slow, not even bothering to make an effort. Hall comes in his direction and suddenly Plax is running fast and lays Hall out.

What did everyone remember? Over at the GMB that play was "OMG did you see Plax lay him out?!?!?!?!" All I saw was Plax give up and then make a great play when it was handed to him.

Of course he might have been slacking off on that INT just to get Hall to come in his direction, but if that were the case Plax should be our OC cause damn that is good thinking.

  8. You cannot say he will not be an all-pro. All it takes in one good season, and he has shown flashes of being a very good QB. I do not think any of the losses can be put on his shoulders. Benching Eli is the wrong thing to do.

The way to get back on track is to give the future Hall of Fame running back the FUCKING BALL

When he is consistently overthrowing/underthrowing receivers, losses can be put on his shoulders. Of course it isn't the sole reason, but it is a huge one.

And while I agree with giving the ball to Tiki, the Oline wasn't opening holes. 1.8 ypc, 25 yards....

  9. Can't split him out when we're starting a washed up, has-been at LT unless you're keeping Tiki in to help. So, it's just a matter of which weapon you want out on a pass route, Tiki or Shockey.

Shockey lines up mostly next to McKenzie. And they should have had Seubert in at TE helping with pass protection, not Shockey.

  10. Yep. I'm officially off the Eli bandwagon. He's an average to (maybe) good QB; not elite, not gonna be in the Pro Bowl, and definitely not better than Rivers and Merriman (and whoever else the Chargers got).

Weak arm, bad mechanics, immobile, bad decision making (how many more times are we gonna see throws into double coverage this year)... he's awful. Not taking the next step.

Too bad we didn't go out and sign an NFL-calubur backup again; then maybe we could sit Eli and try to salvage the season.

That one interception he threw....there were 2 defenders not covering the receiver, they were RIGHT INFRONT OF HIM. No chance whatsoever to get that ball in, but he throws it. And the sad part is, that was a great throw IF no defender was in the way. The one good pass he throws all game goes right into the numbers of a defender. Thanks Eli!

We may not have an NFL-caliber backup, but Eli needs to sit a game, spend some time on the sideline assessing WHY he is there.

Unfortunetaly this coaching staff is one of the worst in the league and hasn't had a creative thought their entire time here. Like I said in the Shockey topic, they didn't even bother looking at the film on Shockey his first seasons here. They just put him on the line and said "go and do what you did with Fassel...oh but we aren't splitting you out wide anymore. Good luck getting open!"

The only good thing this coaching staff has done is fix Tiki's fumbling problem. Thats it.

  11. Nail, meet head....We need to trade him because he doesn't deserve it.

Why would we trade away one of our best players when it isn't his fault? Get rid of Hufnagel and bring someone in who can watch tape from Shockeys first seasons and see how he should be used. It is no wonder he gets less opportunities with a OC who is braindead. Shockey was the man when he was split out and put in mismatched situations.

  12. I woke up this morning thinking the Hefty Lefty should start this next game. Eli needs a wakeup call that he has to learn how to throw a ball. I don't understand how someone who did so well in college could miss receivers as bad as he has been this season. I defended him up until now. That is over.

  13. Like I said before, the defense can be as banged up as much as it can, when the offense is getting nothing done who cares about the defense? You can't win without putting points on the board, and this offense is LACKING. I have defended Eli for awhile now but his performance this game was pathetic, no Oline or not.

  14. I had to leave the bar I was so pissed.

I don't care how bad and beat up the defense is, when the offense is totally inept on the field what does it matter how banged up the defense is?

  15. The only shock that Elisha can give is to Brain-dead Accorsi who gave away so much for him when he could have had Big Ben or Phillip Rivers, and kept other draft chices. Both of these losers should leave the Giants as soon as possible. :TD:

I hate to say it but it is really looking like EA screwed the pooch passing on Rivers for Manning.

There are of course the differences, but Eli continues to overthrow receivers, miss receivers, throw behind receivers, and overall blow as a QB. Franchise QB? Not now.

  16. Oh no. I love the Giants. Love Shockey. I just like the avatar because it shows his emotion. I used to post over at Giants.com message board ... but it got lame. So I got outta there. lol I didn't even know about this site until my good buddy Sephiroth gave me the link a few hours ago. I'm glad too, cause this looks like a kick ass board.

Same way. I gave up on GMB after the change. Suddenly every troll had 5 names and 70% of the posts were total bullshit from people whose sole existence is sitting infront of a computer all day long coming up with new ways to trash players to get reactions from fans. Big Hero like I said was one of them, and used that avatar, hence my question.

Honestly, the activity here is much lower, but I have found that is because everyone here is knowledgable and the board isn't filled with fluff of personal issues instead of knowledgable discussion.

  17. Big Hero? Uhm, nope, I'm just Abs.

    I'm confused.

Big Hero is a douchebag over at GMB who has the same avatar and uses it to show that Shockey is a huge douche that the team should have never drafted. Given that you use it I was concerned ANOTHER troll had made his way here. Glad to see my initial assumption was wrong.
