Brown is overrated....the only time he won anything was when he took advantage of the Kobe/Shaq feud and beat the Lakers...we all saw that in the Finals...Kobe sabotaged the championship to get rid of Shaq and Phil Jackson....

Are you serious? Finn was Mr. Irrelevant. You do not find many FB's who can catch plus block that well. He is not the best in the league but gets the job done, especially opening holes for Tiki.

Most of the time Barber was the single back in the Giants offense. What 'holes' did Finn open up???

You can attribute Moss's lack of TDs to Miami's QBs. In most cases, great/good receivers have at least a decent QB. I didn't know about Brandon Stokeley (sp?) until he was a Colt, but looking back... he was the guy that burned our defense for the first TD in the Super Bowl. Now that he has Manning throwing him the ball, he's a dependable WR. Look at Moss for a second and think about who he played with. Brock Berlin is now a third string QB in the NFL. With Eli, Sinorice Moss is going to become a certified MONSTER.

He sure DID!!! Burned a slow ass Shaun Williams and Jason 'I had two bad knees' Sehorn. The ROOKIE Moss should get his touches and provide speed underneath.

My question is: How the Eff u know the Giants drafted for 'character' players??? Did EA tell u this when you ate dinner with him last night on the East Side of Manhattan?

That pick makes zero sense in my opinion. If the idea was for Giants to pick the best available athlete, then Lendale White should be a Giant right now . It would make as much sense as this. I'm baffled by this move. He could turn into a real good player, but unless they think about turning him into a DT, it makes no sense.

 

Sinorice Moss was a nice pickup though and may continue our streak of picking up great 2nd rounders.

I agree that LenDale shouda been picked BUT EA is trying to save money IMO. Trading down to get the last pick in the 1st rd was a cost cutter. Mathias shouldn't demand a huge contract. But at #25 LenDale White would have commanded a lil more money and possibly would have held out. And I think EA got all these late round picks again to save money.

And I also agree with the 'nce pickup' quote of Moss.

Next year's first round pick will be used on drafting a running back.

Some of those guys on that list may come to some NFL camps as undrafted in the near future. And some of those guys can cut it in NFLE.

Barry Cofield is a perfect replacement for Clancy but I think he has the potential to be much better against the run. Cofield can play nose and so can Robbins. I think we still can sign a vet for the min. and possibly even use our last selection on a DT or get a player as an undrafted free agent to compete with Duckett and Seawright. I think most fans are over reacting on our DT situation. We dont need an allstar tackle we just need role players in the middle who can occupy blockers and get the job done on a rotation. Im actually more worried about our DBs.

i would compare him to a small jerome bettis. He does not have the size, but USC used him most of the time in short yardage situations.

 

I think he can help the Titans. The player with the most yards per carry last year was Steve McNair, and u don't want that. Chris Brown is a good back and he will do better this year because he can split the load

Good points. But what worried me about Lendale was the fact he gained weight while injured. IF I was getting drafted and injured myself before the combine, of course I could not work out but I would not eat more either.

Grady Jackson, Brenston Buckner, Jason Fisk, Brandon Noble can all be here at a fair price. When you say "the G men gave up TWO of them", who are you referring to? Kendrick Allen?

 

Lets be smart, this tackle has limited time at OT and has performed well enough to be drafted in the 4th. Take it for what its worth but Kiper had him as a 2nd or 3rd round prospect. Drafting a guy in the 4th round who can potential start at LT in a few years must be a mistake though... what is EA thinking?

 

You said "for the one DT we have" . . . . umm last I checked Joseph and Robbins are still on roster. Now we have Cofield and we can still get a FA DT, we can possibly even draft one or sign a undrafted player to compete.

 

Lets not act as if Clancy and Allen were such a key part to our success last season.

Sorry...I was off on a TANGENT....anyway, the DT's we had provided depth. I'm just wonderin' where the depth will come from. And can the guys we have on the interior part of the line play nose tackle? Because I feel that we will soon see a lotta 3-4 schemes.

As you can see, there aint a whole lotta DT's in free agency and the G men gave up TWO of them. Can this 'upside' guy spell relief duties for the one DT that we have??? Can he stuff the run???
