  1. So you are already conceding tonights game with Clemons on the mound...... Its going 2 out of 3 for the orange and blue!

OK, I'll put it in plain english, the Yankees should take 2 of 3 without blinking meaning that if they actually play some real good baseball this weekend a sweep of the Mets should be easily within reach.

  2. Boggles the mind. 14 mil a year, and I have a hard time believing anybody else would've even given him 10. Of well, they're getting what they deserve with him now.

Personally, I think you would have been better off giving Nixon what he wanted.

  3. What the fuck are you talking about?. It's a joke!!!!

Jesus Christ will some of you guys on here get a sense of humor. You're killing the place with this nonsense.

<_< Sorry..... tough day at work. Lately I've been taking everything seriously. :brooding:

  4. Got alot of help today (was at the game) Davis gives up a leadoff hit in the first and proceeded to walk the first batter for the next 3 innings. Couple that with the 40+ pitch first inning it made it easy, especially when Andy was as good as he was today...... all of the balls put in play seemed to be hit right at someone. Great win today, let's sweep the Mets and keep it going!

  5. Who said anything about annoying, specs? The fact he bitches about the media making shit up, then turns around and makes shit up on his own is truly pathetic. Always has been, always will be.

Mediocre is what his #'s are starting to come to this season.... tonight 5 IP, 9 hits and gave up 6 runs, 5 ER...... not good stuff to follow up a almost no-hit game.

Thanks Curt...... now only 8 1/2 back!

  6. We haven't had one in years.

True, now I wonder what we would have been able to do if Brian Leonard was still available for us in the 3'rd round. I know he's a better reciever/runner than a pancake-your-ass blocker but he was versatile.

    My statement is still correct.

Great, the opinion of a super-sub linebacker..... let's ask Ray Lewis or Zach Thomas before we all start getting a woody shal we? Is Jacobs the baddest mo-fo this side of Bo Jackson? Possibly, but even Bo had a good/decent lead blocker.

  7. or Brian Dawkins....

True. I might pay money to see him writhing on the ground in pain knowing his career was over with two shattered legs..................... . Worst part is I know somebody who can make it happen     .

  8. OK, before you jump all over me calling me an ignorant asshole I KNOW HE'S RECOVERING FROM CANCER!!!

Aside from that, why is this guys return news?

Jon Lester really wasn't all that great last season despite what his record was. His ERA was almost 5.0 and against most of the better teams in the league he got shelled. It seems despite this the Sox and certian members of the media feel that this kid should be on their roster as opposed to being in Pawtucket. Just my opinion but the only reason this guy even saw the big leagues last season was due to injury or ineffective starting pitching, if he were to come back this season (again, great media story as he retuns to the game from lymphoma) he would be nothing more than a shaky 5'th starter.

Your opinions are welcome, please enlighten me if I am incorrect in my understanding of this subject.

  9. And no one is writing that Eli had as good a team as Rivers had around him. Dumass.

Look, all Homo had to do was hold on to the ball. They had a retarded monkey doin it in practice just the day before, with no problems.

Nobody questioned Eli in his first full year as a starter either, last I checked they praised him and thought that he would be a good QB too. Doesn't hurt that Rivers gets to hand off to the best RB (and possibly the most talented athelete in the league since Lawrence Taylor) since Emmit Smith 25+ times per game.

  10. Cablevision has a monopoly on my area so they don't feel compelled to carry NFL Network.... assholes.

But they have a ton of spanish channels among other lanugage... but no Arabic... assholes.

Better to have everyone who speaks spanish have separate progamming that they can understand rather than ask immigrants to learn fucking english so when I go to work I might be able to understand what some of my clients are asking. Instead I get "Speake Spanish?" & then get looked at like I've got a 3'rd eye in the middle of my forehead when I say no.

Topic for another forum, sorry guys. Yeah, Cablevision sucks and they are overpriced but at least you aren't dealing with Comcast...... it's Com-asstacular.

  11. Any realistic Giant fan right now, should not be at all happy with our backup QB situation. Anthony Wright should be playing Arena Football, Tim Hasselbach is done, except for he could probably be a decent tutor to Eli and Lorenzen IMO is not a solid QB and anybody who does come to camp at 270 -80 as a QB!, has some serious motivational issues. Culpepper is not ideal, but waht King is suggesting isn't all that bad. If nothing else, it may motivate Eli some more, and that folks is something that has to happen because Eli is way too comfortable with the situation he has right now. Culpepper is way better than what we have at backup right now........way better.

I'm very happy with Lorenzen as our back up. Very.

Quite frankly I'm not sure that Culpepper would be of any more use than Lorenzen:

    A. Although unproven Lorenzen is healthy, I'm not certian how well he would do in a game that he would be asked to win (he would doubtlessly have growing pains).

    B. Despite his 64% career completion percentage Culpepper has been in the league as a starter for 7 years and only played a full season in 3 of them due to poor play or injury. Say we ask him to come in and play to relieve Eli..... only to have him get hurt, then what is the option?

    C. He had a career year in 2004 throwing for almost 40 TD's however he is 3 years removed from that and coming off of 3 torn ligaments in his plant knee (his back leg when setting up to throw, where your power comes from). Not somebody worth signing for anything other than the veteran minimum.

  12. Excellent find Tree, but what part of the country you from? So I know what time it is by me.

He's in Canada but I'm not sure where, do tell Tree..... near Calgary? I know that you pull hard for the Flames during the NHL season.

  13. This is from a couple of years ago:

Steinbrenner believes Red Sox got break this year

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Associated Press

NEW YORK -- Yankees owner George Steinbrenner criticized baseball schedule makers and complained his team is treated unfairly, The New York Times reported Tuesday.

The Boss is unhappy about New York's road trip this week, when interleague games begin. His problem: While the Yankees are in Cincinnati and Chicago, the rival Boston Red Sox play Pittsburgh and Milwaukee -- two of the three worst teams in the National League.

"I just hope we play well against the National League clubs," Steinbrenner told The Times in a telephone interview. "I don't think the schedule is fair."

The Yankees play three games each against the Reds and Cubs, who lead the NL Central. New York doesn't face the Pirates or Brewers this season.

"Katy Feeney makes the schedule, and she has never been a favorite of mine or a favorite of the Yankees," Steinbrenner said. "We play Cincinnati, which is a fine, fine ballclub; they're going to be in the middle of it. Then we play the Cubs.

"Now who is the other guy playing? They're playing against Milwaukee. Now what's right about that? They're playing Pittsburgh and Milwaukee while we're playing Cincinnati and the Cubs. I think they got the best of that deal.

"Bud Selig told me personally that he was overseeing the schedule, and that he'll see to it that it's fine. I used to be for it, but I'm not for it anymore. It's too easy for discrepancies," Steinbrenner said.

Feeney, a Major League Baseball vice president, said it is was impossible for every AL East team to play every NL Central team this year. There are five teams in the AL East and six in the NL Central -- plus, the Yankees play six games against the crosstown rival Mets.

"You talk to the 29 other teams and they'd probably say I didn't like them," Feeney told The Associated Press Tuesday.

"When we go back to the current rotation in 2005, the teams will play teams they didn't play this year. Besides, you can't predict how games will come out. What looks good on paper turns out

    not to look so good."

What year was this from? Last I checked the Reds and the Cubs were pretty awful for the last couple of years.

  14. Interesting. Romo, a media-hyped player with no talent, took the Cowboys as far in 1/2 a season as Eli has taken the Giants with several years of experience.

    Yeah, several year of experience:

    Eli Manning

Carrie Underwood's bag carrier..... I mean Tony Homo.... Sorry.

Last I checked Eli is 1 year younger and with 1 fewer year in the NFL..... not only that Eli won 20 games as a starting QB and won a division title..... not 6 like Mr. Media Hype Carrie Underwood Tony Homo. Get your facts straight & them come talk numbnuts.

  15. Interesting. No one is suggesting that the Cowboys need Culpepper either... :LMAO:

Maybe, next season the Cowboys will sign Eli as their holder and Coughlin as his personal tutor. Of course, they'll have to earn their jobs. :LMAO:

You're right, they don't need a starting QB (according to the press who are still all over Homo's junk) they need a holder! See it is easy, even and idiot caveman like you can figure that out!

Trust me Romo ain't gonna make it through this season, and again you will be out of the playoffs..... that would be no playoff victories in 10 years, something only a Cowboys fan could be proud of. :LMAO: We are the Cowboys champions of media hype and the first 8 weeks of the off-season! LOL! Write it down Francis.

Tony Romo's only accomplishments in the realm of football include:

    tony%20carrie.jpg

Getting this stupid whore to see him on the field.

    Homo1.jpg

    Oooooooopppppsssss! Blame the ballboy!!

That's it, he has done NOTHING..... oooohhhh he won some games.... that's great. Last I checked so did Jason Garrett & Quincy Carter (who took that HOF coach you released to the playoffs too..... same ending though :LMAO: ) trust me sonny, by week 9 you'll be praying that you had either of them as your starter because this guy:

    n738190440_216984_5783.jpg

will be crying like the litte bitch he is because your media-hype QB can't get him the ball. Media hype, that's all you got..... hang your hat on it if you want, you will be disappointed again.
