gateb, there are a lot of free agent safeties besides Chris Hope who would be useful replacement for Alexander. Let's also not assume that Hope, who has all of 4 career picks, will be the solution to out secondary's inability to make plays on the ball...
No, I was just throwing a random name out there. Notice where I said or other FA.

Hey I know it wont happen but Luke's false starts are and issue!
that cannot be dennied!
You know, Diehl had just as many false starts against Seattle as Luke. We have plenty other issues to worry about and considering our o-line is gaining chemistry and has loads of potential there is no point of breaking them up even further.

Apparently, we've just been overpaying guys who have potential, not proven. Hopefully that'll come back to help us too. Sadly with all the money we spend, David Wright may be the least paid.

I say restructure. What do we got to lose if we play him with a low contract? If he does play good, give him a medium sized one, not to the length of the original one he got because he still needs to prove he can stay healthy consistently.
If he doesn't work, then we'll still have Pierce, Torbor, Emmons (maybe), Blackburn and possible an FA.

Isiah's officially jumped off the cliff if he is really coveting Steve Francis. Just accept that you aren't going anywhere this year and probably next year so start rebuilding.

Trying to ressurect the debate with the Fab 4 by bringing this to the new board?
-
I agree. Not saying much but we all know Allen was our best cover corner of the year and if not for arguably one of the best WRs in football burning him in week 16 we wouldn't be that bad with him. Obviously, he won't be the playmaker we thought we were getting when we drafted him but he's a very good tackler, a major reason we didn't give up too many big rushing plays this season.

Of course Mr. Optimistic himself comes over here to say that

Hell, I'm tired of going to Mets game where they are shut out. I'm actually really interested in going to much more Mets games this year (no not by the six pack which costs more then Giants games). I'm looking for opening day as well.

I want DeAngelo Hall, but I don't even think he's a free agent is he?
He was a top 10 pick only a year or two ago!

Only on Sportswrath is the first "arguement" headlined by a spelling error...
Can we just stick to the topic....
Green - He has shown one thing since being signed and that is he likes the training table. He is dead weight and hopefully the plug will be pulled.Alexander - Major secondary problems last year. The last thing the Giants need is a return of a lead footed safety who doesn't hit.
Peterson - Injuries, injuries, injuries..................can he even play next year???
Greisen - Deserves to be on this team much more than metal leg Emmons and waste product Green.
If Green restructures why not? He is fast and with Osi and Michael on the ends that is an added bonus if he stays healthy. If he is a bust yet again, then we don't lose too much money and we can cut him loose at the end of the year.
Sadly, Alexander was the team leader in picks last year. If we don't pick up a guy like Hope or don't make a move in the draft or FA then we may be forced to stick with him.
-
If we are doing this, can we reserve. If so, I'll take take the Texans.
And I remember last year you said we shouldn't trade future picks. I actually think that'd make the game a little more interesting. We can make this kind of like a keeper league if for the most part all of our members stay here.
-
Um, I just said I intend to in my initial post (see: "P.S..."). However, again as I said in the original post, if I don't consider the board to have enough members to do the mock, then I'll scrap the project.
Sorry, long day

You're going to make a shitload of money off this adult section nemesis
-
They could make a greater offer. And he is a main priority.
-
EA shouldn't take long to get him a new contract, if he waits too long then he's a dummy
I bet there is an offer on the table for him already.
-
Do you guys think we should get rid of Green, S. Alexander, W. Peterson, and Griesen (only because he's going to demand some more money after his play this year) I think we keep Brent Alexander (even though he's getting old), and I want to see more outta Adrian Awasom, Frank Walker, Eric Moore, Damane Duckett, and maybe even Chase Blackburn... what do you guys think? Not all of the at the same time, just more productivly (I know I spelled that wrong fuck you)
I think:
Green-restructure. He's still young and has shown he has the talent. Give him another year.
Alexander: Depends on the price and if he really wants to play.
Peterson: We all know the potential is there and we have enough questions in our secondary so that really forces us to bring him back.
Greisen: I really enjoy watching him play but if he is really asking for more money then he deserves, I'll pass.
Walker's the only one on the corners that can make a catch consistently apparently but gets burned way too much. If we have to see Blackburn, that means we have to see him without Pierce starting.

how nice would it be to be a punter practice then go home w/ your family get special benefits and collect taht $$$$
but hey feagles deserves it has played great over the years expect for like 3 games
Feagles is a monster. He is just so good at getting opposing teams inside the 20 with Tyree. Speaking of Tyree, it's a huge priority to re-sign him.
-
Not worth his 10 million bonus and his 10 million penalties. I'll pass.
-
How about you organze that draft game again this year for this board? I want to make up for last year...
-
-
didnt he already retire
and if so we can easily pick up a punter i am not about to put a punter on my wish list...
although special teams are a underrated part of the game we can pick somebody up
No, Feagles claimed he is still thinking about it. Actually look at what I just posted. More optimistic now.

Giants | Feagles may be back
Wed, 15 Feb 2006 05:38:10 -0800
Paul Schwartz, of the New York Post, reports New York Giants P Jeff Feagles may return for the 2006 season. The Giants are awaiting word whether he will indeed retire after 18 seasons in the NFL. Feagles has already talked to head coach Tom Coughlin and may be swayed into coming back as long as he receives some perks that will allow him to travel home during the season. "He's got to see what kind of arrangements with Tom that Tom's comfortable with," general manager Ernie Accorsi said.
Giants | Team wants to re-sign Hasselbeck; but he may be No. 3
Wed, 15 Feb 2006 05:33:33 -0800
Paul Schwartz, of the New York Post, reports the New York Giants want to re-sign QB Tim Hasselbeck, as long as he comes at a modest price. Even if he re-signs, his future with the team is not certain. It is believed that head coach Tom Coughlin views both Hasselbeck and QB Jared Lorenzen as No. 3 quarterbacks and wants to add a backup who can at least compete for the No. 2 spot behind QB Eli Manning. "I'd like to be back. I'm hoping I will be," said Hasselbeck. "I'm 100 percent sure they're not looking for somebody to come in and kind of make Eli feel like he's competing for a job against somebody else on the roster. I guess maybe some teams believe in that stuff. I don't think that's necessarily healthy."

That is reserved for Boston.
Love your sig, where'd you make it?

Okay, count me in then. I'm sure we'll get enough competitors for this.
