Very similar role unless we are in need of an offensive spark to start the season if Eli and Tiki are both struggling.
-
Oh yeah, considering Mirabelli isn't going to catch Wakefield anymore, that may be a risky pick. I suggest putting him on the block also.
-
I expect Eli to READ an apply the methods of this book...and after succesfully doing what is needed, Eli can lead the Giants to the NFCCG in 2007.
That looks like a good book. He should actually get that
-
It's almost definite that Damon will be leading off this season. Jeter will probably bat second. I think the x factor for this season for you guys is Giambi. If he can keep his stroke going that puts this lineup on another level.
-
Whats rotisserre?
Probably spelled it wrong. It's basically when it's only standings and total points, not weekly head to heads. You'd understand it when you see it.
-
Yeah, it's really appreciated. BTW, even after my first season I knew not to look at the yahoo rankings. If you're going to win this, you're going to need your intellect to win it (trades, waivers, etc.). I'm looking forward to it.
-
And like I said a few weeks ago, I think this should be head to head, not rotisserie.
-
Done.
Thanks.

this plus the 21,948. So that's like 22,049
-
I'll keep him in mind for the later rounds. I'm getting some nice inside sources from here.
-
Thanks, I'll keep you in mind as my main insider when it comes to fantasy. So you're saying Felix won't be a steal because he'll just be drafted in the top 5 rounds or something like that?
-
yeah... it should be nice... I've only went to 2 Met games ever and they lost both
Shutout both for me.
-
I think he's a top 4 guy easily.
Last year he hit .301. 43 HR's and 144 RBI's and I believe he won a gold glove and silver slugger award.
My projections are a 310 BA, 47-50 HR's and 140 RBI's, and thats modest copmpared to some experts opinions.
Seeing those stats at a position like first, I'll definitely take a look at him. Michael Young was a fine pick for me last year too.

To just simply not even offer Frankie Walker a contract would be dumb. He has been around for a few years, has made some plays, and has great physical tools...At worst we bring him back for real cheap and he is beat out in camp by another player. If he is brought back he is not a lock to make the team. He would compete in camp with maybe a late round CB or vet we bring in....Competition never hurt anyone...
Yeah exactly. Make guys like Deloatch who I believe should be starting over Walker work harder and get motivated to do better because of guys like Walker looming over him.

Yeah I know no way that's actually your girl. Like you'd post that pic on this message board of your gf.

Those are three quality posters. Keep em coming.
-
Those two are going to have changes involving them. Whether it's being cut or contract restrucuted I doubt things will stay same for BOTH of them during this off-season.
-
But the amount of posters we have aren't enough to make this section as good as we hope. Also, this month may easily be the worst month of the year talking about the Giants. Maybe June is the worst but that at least has the cuts and at least baseball. This month has nothing. No FA, spring training late in the month, nothing.

i got here first
Then post something!

I think that's what Richard Justice and Michael Smith were saying on Around the horn yesterday
-
This section will be much more active when March madness really gets going.
-
lol...
Way to stand up for your team

Well, there was that nasty problem of being hit in the head with a line drive. I know he has a history of slowing down in the second half but people can't write this guy off immediately. When on, he can be an incredible pitcher. Sure he's streaky, but odds are he will be part of our rotation (at least until the trade deadline) and I think he'll do okay.
Well, so far the rotation is looking like this:
Schilling
Beckett
Wakefield (who's going to catch him)
Clement
Wells (I guess he'll be pitching)
Papelbon waiting outside.
Is that what the rotation is looking like as of now?
Do you think Francona has enough balls to have a six man rotation like Willie should have done last year?

Make your own sig and theres a website called owned.com. That may help you out.

It all depends on what we do in the off-season. And even if we do sign a proven vet and bring back Allen, if this kid is available in the second round we should definitely take him.
