“I’m kind of surprised to hear him say that,” Gilbride said when asked about general manager Jerry Reese saying it was time for a change. “No one had figured that offense out for 24 years. To think that they figured it out this year would be pretty ludicrous. I think it was pretty obvious what the problems were. We had a confluence of injuries, we were very weak on the offensive line. We had some guys who struggled. We started six different offensive tailbacks, three different fullbacks, three different right guards, four different centers … You’re not going to have anything (with that). You can say it’s the offense, but it’s pretty clear what the problem was.”

I agree with him about the injuries, but to say that nobody had figured his offense out for 24 years is a proof he needed to go.

  2. so if they are keeping gardner why pay for ellsbury? should've passed on him and kept cano

back in the 90's they had more guys like Gardner and Elsbury than guys like Cano, and look what they accomplished.

  3. SF did get screwed on the running into the kicker call that absolutely should have been roughing - and a first down.......and that blown call turned the game around. I'd be Manson-like, too!

I'd say the punter ran into the defender. I really hate that call, unless it's a blatant hit.

  4. Great hire and wants to run an "Uptempo offense"

Eli has always been at his best when running a hurry up offense. It's been that way his whole Giant career. For the life of me I don't know why they never ran a more uptempo offense.

Actually, the quote was, "New OC... oh, uh... Mark Sullivan... and hey, my new clothing line opens on Feb 15th! Tweet @VicCruz80 for a chance to win an exclusive jacket from my new fall men's line!"

Hahaha. He's been kind of a douche since he got his contract.

  6. His very first TD run he went in straight up, stopped after crossing the goal line and posed. The guy was a fucking beast until everybody in the league started hitting him in the legs. In 50 years, instead of having a bunch of punch drunk retired players, we're going to have players being inducted into the HOF in wheelchairs.
