  1. Sorry Nem, but you make no sense and are acting weird.

You can't compare Ike with a future HOF WR and Ike was not bad. Alotta hate coming from you. Ike was actually good up until the Dawkins cheap shot. He was like Steve Smith of 09

    +1.

    Why the Ike hate?

Seriously, did he ever blow a game or something?

    This is strange.

Was Ike an all pro that you wanted from a top ten pick? No.

Was he a solid, good, NFL starting receiver? Yes.

He wasn't Nicks, but he was NOT THOMAS LEWIS.

When you have a top ten pick, you want an all pro but you're content with a solid, long lasting, NFL player, which Ike was.

Geez...you act like he was Thomas Lewis or Shaun Williams.

  2. That's because I don't live in either place you mentioned.

Some 80 mile radius from Metlife stadium...

You seriously need to leave your house, bro.

    ?????

Why, what does that have to do?

You said for the home opener you paid 70 bucks for upper deck seats, which were a joke.

I don't see how that is a joke.

Seems pretty reasonable, not that high, but not that low...I've done hockey games for 65 bucks in the upper deck.

  3. 80 miles away from the stadium as already noted.

What no "thought I was on ignore"?. Because that shit's hilarious.

So you live 80 miles from Metlife Stadium?

I didn't know you were in NEPA or South Jersey.

Well seeing as I listed the price of how much I paid for the tickets...you can figure that out on your own.

I work in a golf store.

Hmm you wouldn't happen to be GiantGolfer?

70 bucks is not a lot for a ticket, don't know why that is a joke, that is a good price.

  4. Yeah, those prices were a JOKE. I paid 70 dollars through stubhub and that included shipping.

Dude, I think it would be awesome to get a whole tailgate thing going. Get all the SWs from the city...I can easily take off work..just gotta know a week ahead of time.

Joke as in too high or low a price?

What do you do for a living GG?

A road game for me is a home game, I'm 80 miles away. Still I'm hoping to go this year and if so I'll mention when. I just need to look for a 5-5 arab right Nas. That shouldn't be hard!

Road game for you=home game??? Where you live?

  5. I distinctly remember the days of Wetteland closing out Yankee games and thought he was really good and that the kid setting him up was also really good, but not closing material. I remember being angry that the Yanks let Wetteland go while he was still in his prime to hand the closing duties over to Rivera who was the classic setup guy, but not a real closer. Boy was I wrong, wrong, wrong!

Mo is setting a record that will be as untouchable in the future of baseball as DiMaggio's hit streak, Rose's number of hits, or Ripkin's number of consecutive games. It has been a pleasure of mine to watch Mo all these years. The only times I ever got angry with him was when he lost the World Series to the Diamond Backs and also when he let Boston knock him around and end up stopping the Yanks from going to another series. Other than that......he's the Sandman supreme.

Hat's off to a great pitcher and a great all around guy!

I second. The OP of course.

  6. Can someone explain to me the difference between an H-Back and TE?

To me, all an H-Back is a TE who is smaller, more of pass catcher, and can block a little, but isn't big enough to be a lead blocker.

    2) Why are they called H-Back?

  7. Giants MUST keep Osi.

Look with Shockey, he was a washed up, injured player at a replaceable position.

Tiki? Star but again, interchangeable position.

Osi? He is a pro bowler pass rusher, this is a very important and difficult position which you really can't plug in somebody like at RB.

This is compounded by us already losing Cofield, you lose Cofield+Osi in one offseason, your DL takes a hit. I don't care about our "depth" because injuries occur, and we cannot go easy on the DL because our linebackers are average.

Giants treat Osi like he is Shockey they are making a big mistake.

  8. We need a FB.

We struggled last year in the red zone, 3rd and short, because we had poor aux blocking from the TE and FB spot.

I feel we addressed the TE spot if we keep Boss and have Petrik as number 2.

    We need to fix FB.

  9. LOL for bringing up KITM, very sad day for him.

KC did a lot for us, he brought us out of the dark ages of the QB, and while not the most consistent, he and Fassel helped transition us to a modern day passing offense.

  10. Eventually Jeter must be dropped, and to 9th when Martin catches.

Jeter needs 2 days off per week, Arod DH/off 1 day per week...so Nunez gets at least 3 games in.

Arod is doing fine, hate the people who whine about Arod, man is doing just fine.

  11. Nunez has an insanely live bat for such a skinny fast guy, I know I'm getting a little carried away since Numez is on fire along with the while team since Jeter went down. Jeter is much more sound in the field but Nunez all around is better and will just get better and better all around if he plays everyday.

    +1.

Playing irregular is VERY hard on a young kid who is used to playing everyday.

I really hope the Yankees do the right thing, put Jeter nine, and eventually, platoon him.

This lineup has taken off with Garnder/Swish leading off.

They just look so much more energized, Jeter really slows them down.

  12. Here's my take.

Yanks lineup with Nunez batting 8/9 IS BETTER than Jeter

Nunez offense IS BETTER than Jeter

Nunez range IS BETTER than Jeter

Nunez arm strength IS BETTER than Jeter

Jeter's consistency IS BETTER than Nunez

I am a big Yankee fan and Jeter fan, but I feel some relief. We worry about who replaces Mo and what happens when Mo goes, but with Jeter, it is clear, he is not the all star and hall of fame player he used to be...and we are the best team in the AL.

He's replaceable, and we can win if he isn't there.

Jeter is a ground ball machine, him in the leadoff spot KILLS this lineup, it feels old, slow, it just sucks all the life out.

As well, Nunez is doing much better in batting when he plays everyday.

Sorry but Jeter in reality is a late inning replacement guy.

I am dreading his return to the lineup, we will not go far in the playoffs if Jeter bats 1st.

If Jeter is batting 9th or 8th, we can do something, but the guy KILLS us anywhere important in the lineup.
