I think you could probably make an arguement that some of those players were also BPA's and fit a need position

I got banned for starting a thread explaining how there's nothing good about BlueSunday except that he stands as a perfect example of how not to be a person. It was a detailed, well-supported analysis. I agree, that the standards at giants.com are unrealistic.

no...we are not....We don't have a true nose tackle besides a fourth round rookie...we don't have another inside linebacker and moving to a 3-4 would negate Osi and Strahan's best assets(thier pass rushing ability)....we don't have any 3-4 DE's

 

we may see a few looks in the 3-4 during each game but the base defense will still be a 4-3...

Maybe after he hears the same argument for the 5th time he'll listen..... probably not.

I would give a look at Fifita at DT. Despite being as anti-Utah as they come I thought he was the heart and soul of the undefeated season they had 2 years ago. Spencer Havner is a must to get a good token white guy on D. Without one we might be looking at an 8-8 season

i can't beleive EA is content with a DT tandem of Joseph, Robbins, the rook, ducket, seawright and another rook

 

for god sakes, at least bring in buckner for minimum salary

I don't think so. I believe that having Vince Young as his QB will only help his game. Tennessee is a great place for him.

Fair enough...but for the people who do follow the draft and college football, like myself, can certainly vent. Kiwi, to me, certainly was a bit of a headscratcher. I like the rest of the picks, but sometimes, I just can't stand reading afterwards the same old lines from Accorsie and Coughlin about how highly rated Kiwi was, and that they were set to take him at #25 and so on and so forth.

 

Bottom line, didn't like the first pick, but I can't complain about the other 2.

Yes, but the difference is you can express your displeasure in the form of a complete sentence that lacks needless profanity. Unfortunately there aren't many like you so it gets annoying to keep hearing reduntant and borderline insane (EA should be beaten with a blunt object comes to mind) garbage from people that don't really know what they are talking about.

Everything I've read about this guy seems to be good. He's a project because they never settled on a position for him. He can play all 3 LB positions and will be good depth with a possibility of something more later. And he used to play DE so its worth it to hear EA say "There is a premium on pass rushers" one more time and this board will lose its collective mind again.... I'm all for it

Watson probably isn't even on the Giants board, if they wanted him they would have taken him.

not really, I just don't see why we need to use our 3rd round draft pick on another kickreturner.

I'm not talking specifically about Drew.... I'm not sure I'd approve either, but every time you don't like a player it seems it is because he doesn't have ideal size or his 40 time wasn't quick enough. Not trying to call you out, just an observation

Um why the hell would anybuddy start contract negotiaons before the draft??it kind of makes your team look desperate....

Because they have the #1 overall pick and it makes business sense to start working out contract numbers before the draft since you are already on the clock.

I'm the same way. I was hoping the Salt Lake AAA team would be home so I could go to the game Friday and not think about it, but no luck. I can't wait, it is like X-mas eve today

If Cromarties not there i say swing for the fences and bring in Gabe Watson, see if the staff and the team leaders can't help him reach his potential. If the Giants pick Sinorice Moss or Kelly Jennings i'd be very dissapointed.

I agree with Moss/Jennings... I'm not 100% sold on Watson, but I agree with the "swing for the fences" mentality.

Sinorice Moss 5-8 182 born December 28th 1983, caught 37 balls for 614 yards and 6 td's in his senior year. Ran a 4.38 40 at the combine

 

So what about any of that makes you think Moss would be the better pick? He's out matched in every single facet of the game. Sinorice Moss' can thank the emergance of of Steve smith and Santana Moss for his first day grade, hes proven to be nothing but average on a talented Miami team.
