  1. ] but i mean, what's the difference between taking a risk on a player that has been injured(Webster), and taking a player that's been in trouble or a Lendale White type player who has also been injured(because if we were drafting for the future, Lendale is my pick)...that's what I dont get about this draft for the Giants...instead, they take a risk on a player in a position we didnt need all that bad on a player that was a projected second round pick... I'm happy with Webster and all but our CB situation for the future is a lot more hazy than the DE situation
  2. yah I mean, I could tell then that we didn't have a strong draft at all that year...Shockey was a hell of a pick, though
  3. for the people who can express themselves without using the word 'dude'...how was Corey Webster 'the shit' when we drafted him? I remember him being a 2nd round pick with just as much of a question mark on him as any other CB we could have picked THIS year. I also remember him playing sparingly and mediocre to good at best this past season. I also remember Steve Smith completely destroying him.
  4. it's hard to believe a projected mid second round pick was BPA...the draft class must have been filled with felons...
  5. would you guys be so inclined to explain exactly why speed rushers(who i guess are 'undersized' in a 3-4) dont fit into 3-4s? I mean, I understand the fact it frees up an extra offensive lineman for the opposing team, but both osi and mike are rush from the outside most of the time...i guess their occasional inside rush would be negated but they can still bull rush...and if they do get doubled teamed, that's exactly what we need to free up a linebacker to make a play. I know the fact that both would have reduced production but I dont think it's all that of a stretch, unless you guys can explain something I am missing.
  6. ...So how was the 2002 draft?
  7. if anything, people who are critical of the team's decisions are the REAL fans. Not one of us said anything about the team not succeeding...in fact, a lot of us see the team succeeding NOW...which is why none of us understand these picks...
  8. I see CB Daniel Manning was selected in the second round...he was gone before the Jags picked...I guess we will see if my picks was a good pick in time.
  9. I would agree if it was say 4.6...but almost 4.8 in the forty for a 'pass rushing' DE is a little misleading to me...I can run in the 4.8s...
  10. who is available on the market that the Giants could potentially pick up...to start...before training camp...?
  11. i think it will be sweet to finally have a speedy WR, especially one that has a chance of staying on the field.
  12. he runs a 4.78...there's dudes that were drafted today that play DE that run in the high 4.3s and 4.4s
  13. while i realize that, it's hard to not believe that's what we are going for with one starting caliber DT...call it sarcasm and being genuinely pissed at the first pick...
  14. LOLOL, yah. I didnt realize Molasses was so slow, either. Poor fit for 3-4.
  15. Could have easily capitalized on that trade and picked a player a lot of experts had us picking at 25.
  16. CB or WR would be cool with me. There arent any worthwhile RBs left that could take over for Tiki in a couple years (since this years draft theme seems to be build for the future by picking players that wont even play for 3 years).
  17. i'm with you master. Sinorice Moss would be a great pick for the GMen.
  18. Daniel Manning is at least rated second round material by Kiper...and he plays a position we need, at least
  19. The only thing I can say is that at least Molasses isn't small school material.
  20. what about the bills and Donte Whitener at 8 lol. What a horrible pick. I guess there's relief in that we arent the only NY team that makes shitty decisions. The Jets, on the other hand, are having a great draft. Their Oline is set for years.
  21. different team, different coach, different player. You CANNOT say that Lendale would be just like Dayne.
  22. EXACTLY, we are a great team in 06! It's about winning now...so why not get a WR that will help you now...? No, instead we will draft a Tim Carter esque player in the 2nd or 3rd round. Santonio Holmes is a TD machine, I really wish we had got him...I was happy with the trade at first because I thought we were going to get Jackson, instead, or at the least Ryans...positions that we actually need.
  23. they basically said that it was a reach because many had him going in the 2nd...i dont even remember them showing anything about him other than DBrick owning him in the early part of the draft.
  24. they pretty much said nothing about him. They were honestly as confused as everyone else was.
