  1.

They do chase each other in the house all night when I'm home.. not good when dad has a migraine but I deal lol... then I have to do "uppa" each wants me to toss them in the air a few times.... I look at it as an upper body work out but it's never good when you're suspecting pinched nerves :cwy:

    It's great though..

Hah I know that game with my nephew. And each time it's "one more" and then "again again!"
  2. While I don't see anything wrong with what Dez said, I think he was channeling his own self defense...

For sure. He plays the same way. And frankly I've defended Dez to some of my friends before for just being a guy that wants to win badly, which I think you've got to respect. At the same time, they can't let their emotions go unchecked to the detriment of the team by getting personal fouls. And I think Odel and Dez have both gotten better in that regard.
  3. Okwara was a hell of a find but the plays he missed last night made me appreciate JPP more.

Agreed. There were a few times Elliot got around the outside and I thought JPP would've caught him or forced him down/slowed him down. That said Okwara looked pretty good for his first real continuous action of the season.
  4. Yeah Bill Burr brings this up on his podcast every now and then, also apparently they give a very small fraction of the profits from all the pink stuff to cancer related charities. It's all about making the NFL more money and attracting more fans, and this more money.

  5. I used to really like him at the beginning of his career when he was the 6th round underdog guy, and a lot of times he says the right thing but there's been something about him the past nine years or so I haven't liked. I couldn't qutie put my finger on it until this weekend though:

He totally reminds me of every douche I knew in high school and college.

Not so much with what he says, but his mannerisms. His crybabyness, his rants on the sidelines... he just seems like a douche. Kind of reminds me of the guy Drew Barrymore was going to marry in The Wedding Singer.

Glen Gulia??? Haha that's a great reference.

  6. This team is the same thing it was last year... the best of the bad teams, but not good enough to beat mediocre teams.

    Fuckin A, that's a hard truth.

It's too bad they are wasting Eli's final years.

Agreed. He's playing his best right now.
  7. This is what I saw this past Sunday:

At Marvel Universe Live, Loki was trying to put together a team to retrieve the pieces of the Cosmic Cube, the ultimate trophy in the Marvel Universe. He'd had past successes, really hitting on a team of Super Villains back in 2007, but his super villain teams lately were kind of falling flat. He hired three better-than-average villains, the Red Skull, Green Goblin, and whoever the guy is who runs AIM these days to get the pieces of the cube. It was a good mix of experienced veterans and young up and comers.

Loki's team was pretty good on paper. The problem was that the Avengers put together a better team with better players. In New York, Spider Man took on the Green Goblin, and it was a pretty even match... but Thor had Spidey's back too. The Green Goblin couldn't coach up his team of ham-and-eggers (Rhino, Doctor Octopus, and Lizard) against a star like Thor. Three menial-to-average guys couldn't beat a Thunder God and good support hero like Spider Man, and the Avengers got the piece of the cube they needed pretty easily.

At the AIM headquarters, Iron Man, Black Widow, and Captain Marvel were taking on the minions of AIM. AIM had everything well in hand... there were flaming whips, explosions, and the heros were defeated. AIM started to take Iron Man too lightly however, and the Avengers were able to pull out a come-from-behind victory with nanoseconds left on the clock. It was a really disappointing loss for AIM because they really beat themselves more than the Avengers won.

At Hydra's fortress, the Red Skull and Madame Hydra were pretty incredible dirt bike riders. They were able to do a lot of tricks, and held on to their cube piece pretty well. When Captain America and Falcon showed up though, they were outdone by their insane acrobatics. Captain America and Falcon found a way to win, and the Red Skull, despite having victory in hand, found a way to lose. Honestly, the Red Skull loses to Cap every time. Captain America just has his number.

Last they took on Loki. He had a pretty good plan... he got one of the Avengers (Hulk) to sign with him and come over to his team. But Hulk really underperformed once he got there, and wasn't able to take out even one Avenger. Eventually he went back to his former team because he knew they were winners. The Avengers won and hoisted their complete Cosmic Cube, and the team of the Sinister Six, AIM, and Hydra were on the sidelines AGAIN, outdone but bad planning and poor personnel.
