Why did Andre Williams have two full series of plays today?

We lack talent on the offensive skill positions outside of Beckham and Eli Manning. We have no other options than Beckham and the 5 players per game that Shane Vereen is allotted. Why does Andre Williams still have a role in this offense? He would have been a great back had he been drafted in 2007, instead he's Ron Dayne. He can't catch, he can see a hole for a his life and he can't block very well either. Did anyone see him get lit up trying to block today? He's a joke. The running back position is a disaster and it's only a disaster because the coaches insist on a 4 back rotation. It should be Jennings/Vereen/Darkwa that's it, period. The Giants have used a lot of premium picks on the wide receiver position the past few years. None of it has panned out and that's very scary. Ruben Randle is fucking terrible!! 2 catches today!! Two!!! And he was one on one all day and all he had was two lousy catches. He is awful, awful,awful. 4 years in and he still can't get it. Pathetic. Will Tye might be good, but he can't block worth shit and I'm tired of projects at TE.

Kennard is gonna be a guy who wows you with what he does, but he'll play 8 games a year because he is ALWAYS hurt. We basically drafted a Barrett Green.

Look no further than the 2012 NFL draft. David Wilson, Randle and Hosley were all boom or bust players who had high upside, but also high bust probability(I won't comment on Wilson, he just got hurt). All we heard was that Randle was "pro ready" and still in year 4, he's making the same mistakes and in general is a pretty mediocre player. While the "athletically arrogant" Jayron Hosley just sucks.

After the 2011 Superbowl win in which Eli Manning pulled every rabbit out of his ass that whole season, I mean seriously...the guy played like John Elway did the 80s when his Broncos were getting smoked in the Superbowls those years. It was basically Manning all on his own with a good core of wide outs. Looking back on it, what he did that season was nothing short of remarkable. No defense, no running game...just his right arm. The Giants as an organization tried to squeeze one more year out of an aging core of veterans on both sides of the ball and make a push. Ernie Accorsi built the team with strengths on the offensive and defensive line and Jerry Reese has yet to plug any of those holes yet, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Obviously Flowers, Richburg and Pugh will be a good nucleus for years to come, assuming Pugh doesn't have to retire prematurely but Reese has really let the Giants team slide into decay.

And it was the possession after Manning went to him twice in a row in the endzone. He might be the softest player in the NFL.
