Looks like the Curse of the Choke of '04 is alive and well!

Okay, so there was a little bit of choking going on, but it was mostly from one player. It didn’t help when they were named the Murderer’s Row and Robinson Cano, either. Way too much hype to live up to.

 

It was the stupidity of the rest of the line up that pissed me off, and that includes Jeter and Posada, who both batted .500. There’s probably a list of things they did wrong, but my biggest gripe was no one but Jeter was willing to hit to the opposite field, and Jeter tried to go that way a little too much. It wouldn’t have mattered much in the last game, but it would have in the first two losses, and especially against Rogers, who we should have gotten to early.
