Virginia Giant
Jones, who was released by the Los Angeles Dodgers earlier this winter, has agreed to a Minor League contract worth $500,000. Jones can also make up to $1 million in bonuses if he reaches 620 plate appearances. Good signing imo, our outfield is crowded, but if he manages to get some of what he had back, he would allow Hamilton to move to rf and give us a pretty damn good defensive outfield. And Texas is a pretty good place for him to try to get it back, hitting in a friendly park and being coached by one of the better hitting coaches. Other news for those who are interested... Michael Young is reluctantly moving to 3rd to make way for Elvis Andrus. Blalock will DH Rangers have signed both Eddie Guardado and Brendan Donnovan to minor league deals (both are relief pitchers)
