MakeMeSomeFoodHo Posted April 18, 2008 Share Posted April 18, 2008 I got a chance to see this kid play in person last month and believe the hype...I have never seen a kid hit like him, the ball sounds different off of his bat like Miguel Cabrera, A-Rod, Manny, Soriano, Vlad. This kid is going to be a super star in the very near future....and he is only 18 years old which makes me even more excited. I can almost guarantee he ends the season in AA (at 18 years old!!!), he is way too good for Charleston and should see tampa by mid May. Dont be surprised if he's a September call up in 2009 at age 19....he is that good...he works the cout, doesnt strike out much and takes walks...he plays far beyond his age, he is very disciplined....Im telling you, we are looking at a kid that, barring any injury, is going to be Vlad like...maybe even better.
