Virginia Giant
I was trying to be realistic all spring, but with the hot spring Hamilton and Murphy have had. This lineup makes me excited. Yes I know out pitching staff, once again, is full of "if's". I realize that, and no I don't expect to make the playoffs, but I do expect the bottom of the rotation to be a little more solid with Gabbard and Mendoza. Padilla has been strong this spring. The biggest question will be McCarthy, if he can come back from the injury and stay healthy, i think he should be decent. w/ spring stats 1. 2B Ian Kinsler - .422 avg, 7 doubles, 3 sb 2. SS Michael Young - .403 2 hr's 14 rbi 3. CF Josh Hamilton - .435 3 hr 19 rbi 4. 3B Hank Blalock - .368 4 hr 16 rbi 5. DH Milton Bradley - .286 1 hr 11 rbi only 21 ab 6. LF David Murphy - .359 4 hr 17 rbi 7. RF Marlon Byrd - .211 1 hr 9 rbi 8. C Gerald Laird - .289 4 hr 11 rbi 9. 1B Ben Broussard - .298 2 hr 11 rbi Rotation Millwood - 5 ip 0.00 era Padilla - 14.2 3.07 Jennings - 17 2.12 Gabbard - 16.2 10.80 Mendoza - 16.2 5.

If we can take the season series fro the O's and somehow take a few games from the yanks, the season will be a sucess.
